Think our new commit should get his own thread, no?
Nyandigisi ''Diggs'' Moikobu 6'7 from Cochise College in Arizona. Seems to be a PF type. Originally committed to Montana, went JUCO instead. Just visited Portland State a week ago, but Rivals reporting he's signed an LOI to Iona.
Seems like a nice player. Are we done with ships now? I've lost track. We still need another true center, unless Cluess has the utmost confidence in Pelch.

Unless someone is leaving I think we are done. We had 3 to give. I agree we need big still.

FWIW, he made second team all conference and led the league in rebounding. www.goapaches.com/?p=2987On another interesting but totally irrelevant note, Cochise has a Rodeo team. Maybe Siena could recruit some of their players for their cow-tipping team.

SLG: Taaj Ridley is the third committ Then I seem to be missing a commit. I believe that I read yesterday that there is no confirmation from Gibson. If that is true, then we only have two commits - James and Ridley.

"We still need another true center, unless Cluess has the utmost confidence in Pelch. "
I for one would hope we don't go the confidence route. While I'm sure we all would like nothing more than to see Pelch become the big "go to guy", I would be far more comfortable if we can bring in a strong 6'8" - 6'9" banger. We need a stud who has smarts, can run the floor, has good hands, is able to get those put-back points and play defense; if he can keep out of foul trouble, that would be nice too. I'm sure there are still some of these types out there.
Am I asking for too much?

If these 3 are Gaels, we have no available scholys to offer.

Two big guys who can score (both average 15 ppg), I'd say the coaches addressed their biggest need.

If you guys thought we played a fast, exciting high octane style of basketball this year, looks like with these two guys we're turbo charged. I think a 6'10 guy just gets in the way at this point. We're gonna fly.
I'm gonna call this team "the Turbo Gaels"
Fasten your seatbelts boys.

You don't need a slew of 6-7 or 6-8 guys to win the MAAC, BUT you can use the extra help vs the bigger schools. Let's remember that our departing "true center" was only 6-8. Diggs appears to be a banger; if he's a true 6-7 that that's all we need.
