According to the recruit scoop we have received a commit from 6-7 juco James Anacreon from Lake Land Jc. He is 2011 .He played his high school ball in Queens. He averaged about 14ppgs this year in jc.

OK, so who's leaving? Anyone want to take an educated guess? I'd say there are several possibilities. These are just my guesses in order of who I think we can most afford to lose. 1) Serb kid 2) James 3) Smyth I mention Smyth because he may need to sit out a year because of the injury anyway. Maybe he would like to try his hand as a pure 2 at a higher level? The only players I'd really be bothered by leaving would be Armand (and Glover). Sean is the future.

Sean might be the future, but Kyle is the present. If he transferred he'd only have one year remaining, unless he's going D!! or D!!!. And, while I have no idea whether the info is correct, I would be surprised that the school released their official signing report, when they had one more out there. JMO.

Oops. For some reason I thought Kyle had 2 left. Does red shirting cost you a year of eligibility?

For our MAAC friends who may find issue with recruiting JCs, this makes Iona a very, very experienced team for next season. There will be no freshmen if I am not mistaken. There WILL BE Senior guards with qualified experienced back-ups; great shooting from the wings; interchangeable athletic forwards and a center who is improving. Questions: 1. Can the newcomers adjust and fit in quickly. 2. Who might be leaving? Interesting fodder.

OK, so who's leaving? Anyone want to take an educated guess? I don't like to speculate about guys leaving, transferring out, but here goes. I guess its a possibility that Mike has decided to forego his senior year to earn some $$$. Just wild speculation on my part. Don't know one way or another.

We've certainly recruited several in his mold. It's possible a combination of players could make up for his production but not likely.
