James Anacreon apparently hasn't been accepted into Iona. In a tweet, Anacreon said he's no longer going to Iona and wonders where he will wind up. That's too bad. I was really looking forward to see his athletic skills. On the positive side, though, it opens a ship for MoMo should he want to come to Iona.
Best of luck to Anacreon as he continues his college career.

From tweets, sounds like Momo was spotted with KW on the Seton Hall Campus today. Hope Momo enjoys defense a lot more than offense!

What's amazing is that as soon as SJU was out of the picture, so was Mo Mo. He seems like yesterday's newspaper.

From Zagoria, latest on MoMo:
As for Jones, he was seen Wednesday on the Seton Hall campus with head coach Kevin Willard by John Lopiano, the assistant sports editor of The Setonian.
“Just saw Momo Jones and Kevin Willard talking outside the side door of the rec center about ten feet from me,” Lopiano tweeted.
Jones will take officials to Marquette, South Florida and Pittsburgh and unofficials to Seton Hall (Wednesday), Iona (Friday), Hosftra (Monday) and UMass (Tuesday), per Dermon Player, the former Seton Hall assistant now advising Jones on his recruitment.
The Arizona transfer has said he would like to land closer to his New York City home, but is apparently considering other Big East schools as well.
“As soon as Momo feels comfortable with who he feels in his heart is where he wants to go, he will pick a school,” Player told SNY.tv by text.

Guy,
Why not remove this thread from the board. This Mu Mu and his super agent Dermon Player (whatever he is pretending to be) are the dark side of the college game and certainly don't represent the "student athlete" and legitimate recruiting process.
Who really cares where this kid goes - he's been almost everywhere already. Maybe he'll settle down in 2011/12 and start the process over again in 2012/13.
When I heard the "original reasons" for leaving Arizona, i.e. family issue and wanting to be closer to home, the story was almost believable. Now talking Marquette, Pittsburg, UMASS and South Florida - give me a break. This is not a kid we want; he's not the kind of kid who will be there for us when we need him most!
When I see you I'll tell you how I really feel...

ctbill,
You are a bright person and I generally value your opinions and views. Re-read what I said...
The Mo Mo thing is utter nonsnese in my opinion. Everybody is being used by this nomad and his "agent" and we buy into it?
I liken this to the Lance Stephenson fiasco I followed last year. These are HS kids being manipulated by self serving adults.
Aren't we supposed to be dealing with "student athletes", amateurs guided by their families and mentors who are truly involved in their lives and athletic development?
To me this one is playing out like an agent looking for the best possible deal for his client.

Iona gave Glover a chance and we know what a success that has been for both the student athlete and school. Maybe Momo deserves a shot also. Other than bouncing around, has he ever been in trouble?

Tau,
Clearly not suggesting he is a trouble maker or of questionable character. Simply don't like how this one is playing out. Focus for a moment on what we were told from day 1 as to why he was coming home and then consider the DP role and all the non-local schools he's being shopped around to.
I sure hope I'm not the only one not real keen on the latest developments.

Sorry Brff, but I agree with Tau. Let's not assume the worst here.

There is no disagreement with what Tau said. Mo Mo deserves what every kid deserves, a fair shot. No problem.
Not sure I'm assuming the worst here -again, just don't particularly care for the process as it has developed.
Maybe asking the thread be removed was a bit over the edge.
"Circus - Circus " as I see it...

You think a thread should be deleted because you don't think we should be discussing a possible recruit that you don't like? Seems to me the purpose of this board is to have discussions just like this. Otherwise how would we know you don't like this recruit? If Iona were actually to sign him what would you suggest?

" Yes, work a bit harder and get it straight Nowhere did I say delete the thread because I don't like the kid. Frankly I don't know the young man and of course would love to see him with us. Its' well documented that he's a player and that he would be an above MAAC level get. What I don't like is the drama and process of how his next stop is being handled. Maybe tomorrow you'll be reading how Europe has become an option for his future...
