Glover committed to Seton Hall, sued the NCAA,went juco, committed to St Francis before landing at Iona. Lamont Jones starte on an elite 8 team at a huge basketball program. Hes a kid who has had a change of heart a few times and looks like hes trying to get it right, you only get 1 shot at life(or college ball). Glover came to Iona and got it right, Momo can learn from that. If this kid was a problem child, than I might agree-but other than his changing of schools-whats the problem? Agree. Mrs. ctbill can't decide on what color to paint the kitchen unless she goes through six months of self torture. And she's one of the finest people I've ever met. So, the young man has some difficulty making big decisions.

Were MoMo to come to Iona and gain his waiver, Iona would have arguably 2 of the best guards in the MAAC if not all of mid-major basketball. Our coaches will find a way to utilize these 2 talents on the court together at the same time. I, for one, would not mind facing that reality and that "problem"!

johnnyjungle.com/forum/index.php?topic=941.msg74261;topicseen#newFrom about page 21 and on. I stated that Iona(Fairfield also) could beat St Johns next season with all their newcomers. Some condescending comments coming for JOhnny fans, even saying Siena with probably the best MAAC team ever couldnt handle them in Philly with inferior takent than they have coming in

Looks like Seton Hall is getting a commitment from Eugene Teague, transfer from So. Illinois. I remember Oldtimer being very high on this guy. Not sure what that does to available ships for them, and if they still have a spot for MoMo.

The feeling there is it will not be used for Momo, but another transfer instead. Having said that; IMO, if Momo was coming to Iona; he'd be here by now.

I like the fact that he scheduled the local teams first, then the "official visits." Given his preference to be close to home, I'm guessing he wants to see SH, Iona, & Hofstra, and UMass and if he can't live with any of those, then on to the others. Although UMass isn't all that close to NYC. Wouldn't be surprised to see him make a decision after his visit to Hofstra and call the rest of the visits off, if he found a fit out of the locals.

If this kid has hopes of getting a waiver and being allowed to play in 11/12 then I don't think Iona is the choice. If he has to sit out a year, Iona has a chance.

I think the individual himself is the main reason the tea leaves are so hard to read, he certainly has done a lot of moving around in his basketball life.

joebird, I totally disagree. I think that if he does not get the waiver, and will have to sit out the next season, there is no way he sits out to play in the MAAC. If he has to sit for a year, he will want to play in a major conference - AKA Big East.

Why would he want to come to a mid major where he wouldn't completely run the show himself?
As for me as a fan, I would rather see the minutes go to the kids coming back. If he sits out I would love to get him.

You really think that Glover's and Momo's movements are comparable? Glover's hand was forced, Momo's wasn't.

I personally know nothing about either on of their movements and hope I never do!

Glover wasn't forced to leave Seton Hall, he wasn't forced to go to two JUCOs, and he wasn't forced to commit to SFNY, then decommit. The MoMo bashing is UNREAL out here.
