If he goes the prep route we can kiss him goodbye.... he will be playing in the Big East not the MAAC. We need to grab him now. If we get him , and he stays in shape, he will end up one of the best players in Iona history. The kid has some amazing moves. Grasso pulls this off I will be amazed.
I think it is funny how the Fordham board was questioning if he did not qualify for Fordham. The kid is a great student who was being pursued by all the Ivy leagues programs....is Fordham kidding itself...they really are starting to believe their own PR crap.

GF,
FYI, back in December, CBS decided to cancel As the World Turns. Remarkably, that show was on the air for 54 years. We publish nearly 100 magazines here and have several soap opera magazines in that mix. I handle a bunch of automotive titles as well as Slam magazine.

Didn't realize it had been canceled.
Despite my age, I can say I never watched one episode of the show.
With the cancellation, might CBS want to broadcast some Iona games?

James's ratings seem to be quite varied... 90 on ESPN, 2.5 on CAA (Recruit.com) and only 2 stars on Scout.
Obviously, evaluated at different points in time... has his game been that inconsistant?

I think ESPN is the best rating service.
The college football recruiting done by Scout (like their basketball scouting) is suspect. I find that they rank people higher if certain programs are chasing a guy. It seems that if an SEC school is pursuing a kid they go from a 3 to a high 4 four ranking... and when some kids commit to to a lower ranked team...even a Notre Dame their stock drops....its a joke. I think ESPN has really improved and does a pretty decent job.

In case any have missed it.......MACC may have the tallest player in the country this year..... Canisius signed 7 foot three Marial Dahl. He is a Jr. College player with two years of eligibility,.He played about 15 minutes a game, and averaged less the 3 points a game ....He supposedly can alter and block shots....Sure hope so for Tom Parratta's sake......Looks like he might ave gave in to the fans who were clammering for height.
Go Gaels!!!!!!

Iona signs a 6'4 guard out of Monroe Community College. Averaged 11 and 5. Chose Iona over LIU and Robert Morris.

but that was conveniently left out. As was the fact this kid is nearly 23 and Cluess had been recruiting him at Post all season.

Nearly 23? Maybe he'll be another Ubiles? Ubiles was done playing at 23. This kid was class of 2007, so most likely he's 20 or 21; unless you know his D.O.B Mr. Campbell?

Very athletic kid. Should get plenty of time. Can play above the rim.
