Two things from the Loyola-FF game: 1. Loyola's center, Walker, got hurt late in the second half, left the game and didn't return. 2. Olsen seems like Loyola's most dangerous shooter from the perimeter, and plays much like Kyle Smyth. And like Kyle has other weapons, Etherly and Cormier, at his disposal. The 5'8 PG, Williams, isn't bad either, with Drummond a good sixth man.

B/t/w, since the Spring semester begins on Tuesday, today's game is the last one that anyone who is deemed ineligible for the second semester will be allowed to play. Do we have any players who fall into that category? At the Hofstra reception I asked someone who is associated with the Athletic Department, "Now that the grades are in, is everyone eligible?" The answer was that everyone is eligible. What I should have asked, "Will everyone be eligible for the second semester?" We'll soon find out.
B/t/w, hope that we don't get an old timer for a referee in today's game. John Hughes has reffed two of our four losses, and in order to save his legs and slow down the game, he blows the whistle an awful lot. JMO.

I don't really follow the MAAC outside of checking in from to time anymore, but good luck to both teams. GO GREYHOUNDS!

Machado in my observations will be a key player in todays game. He has the advantage of size, experience and skills over 5-8 P.G R.J. Williams a Freshman. This may turn out be a big plus and lead to one of Scots higher scoring games..........In addition Kyle must deny Olsen the ball who can get hot and hurt you with the three....Accomplish this and the 13 point line might noy look so wacky....................Hoping to make the game but visitor from afar might disrupt plans..

I'll be watching the Packers today. I'm not convinced these guys are serious yet.

TAjji's best game of the year! He and Glover dominated the boards in the 2nd half. Great win!

Hounds are a good team. The Gaels really stepped up their defense in the second half. Nice come back win by Iona.

Nice win by Gaels. I was impressed with Loyola, winning the semis and final are going to be very tough. I think Iona benefited from Loyola's late Friday game. Glover made a couple of huge plays that pushed Gaels over the top.
Cluess went basically with 5 players in second half, kept Smyth in for defense and Momo was hitting very tough shots but I think in most games Iona is a much better team when they are hitting 3's and not giving Armand or Jenkins any minutes really limits Gaels ability to hit 3's.
Iona's RPI at 34, I am not going to say it but you know what I'm thinking.
