Yes, indeed, we did see ;D Not taking anything away from the Giants, but who were those guys wearing Packer uniforms? I think the tragedy this week in GB really affected them. That wasn't the same team. But if they have to lose, I'm glad it was the Giants. If Wellington Mara hadn't agreed to revenue sharing, the Giants would be the Yankees of football and the Packers wouldn't exist. I'll root for the Gmen the rest of the way. That would be something if they got a rematch with the Patriots in the SB and beat them again!!! I got my SB last year, looking for an Iona championship this year!!! Too bad the refs blew two disgraceful calls or the GMEN would have really kicked their arses! Go Gaels and Giants.

I know some of you have already spoken about this. but the Loyola coach was out of control...I had my 5 little kids there and was lucky enough to be leaving when he decided(after the game was out of reach) to berate the Iona security about the crowd being "too close to the bench"..It was obvious that he did not want to hear any comments from the crowd. The way he acted was embarrassing. Loyola is an excellent school Im suppressed they put up with this clown..

I'm afraid that some day the Loyola players are going to come back with a REAL coach and kick our butts.

Patsos is awesome. I hope he never leaves the MAAC.

IF we had a serviceable big man we be a hell of a team. Yup. I wasn't happy when Pelch transfered and many felt he wouldn't be missed. Without an extra big body underneath our defense is very vulnerable inside and teams are trying to exploit this. Pelch would have really helped this year as would the Juco big he stayed out West.

I think if we win a MAAC Championship, that Loyola is great preparation for a first round tourney game. Any team we face presumably will be bigger than us in the frontcourt, and learning to deal with that now by team rebounding with everyone pitching in and getting good position will only help.

The MAAC needs a guy like Patsos. Anyone who has played for him loves him. He's a good coach and I don't recall any player embarrassing the scool in his tenure.

He is certainly the best coach Loyola has had in a LONG time. In the 4 years before he took over, Loyola won 6, 5, 4, and 1 game. Patsos has won 48% of his games and is 104-97 since his first year there. He also seems to have the team in good shape for the next year or two. He may not be a X and O's wizard, but given the history of losing at Loyola, he has done a remarkable job.
