You may be right, but I'm still hoping we are not in that position come March 5. The tourney is going to be tough with the likes of Loyola, Manhattan, FF.
Go Gaels!!!

Yes please win the tourney! When you are the favorite the tournament is very difficult to stomach, but if you can win it, it is a wonderful feeling!

Nice win by Gaels. I was impressed with Loyola, winning the semis and final are going to be very tough. I think Iona benefited from Loyola's late Friday game. Glover made a couple of huge plays that pushed Gaels over the top. Cluess went basically with 5 players in second half, kept Smyth in for defense and Momo was hitting very tough shots but I think in most games Iona is a much better team when they are hitting 3's and not giving Armand or Jenkins any minutes really limits Gaels ability to hit 3's. Iona's RPI at 34, I am not going to say it but you know what I'm thinking. I really appreciate your NOT saying it.

I'm nervous already thinking about the tournament. We need to just keep playing the way we played in the second half today, with some 3s from Kyle, Sean, and JJ thrown in.
Go Gaels!!!

IF we had a serviceable big man we be a hell of a team. In the latest up to the minute RPI we have moved up several spots to number 34. If we hold somewhere near that position and regardless what others say it is my opinion that even losing the final game of the MAAC Tourney it will be impossible to keep us out of the NCAA. Keep in mind that the field is generally weaker.
A few more thoughts to come ...

Because of the lack of consistent play from another big man, I am afraid we won't hold that position, especially if Glove ever gets in foul trouble. You are taking up for Joebird! OT

IF we had a serviceable big man we be a hell of a team. Yup. I wasn't happy when Pelch transfered and many felt he wouldn't be missed. Without an extra big body underneath our defense is very vulnerable inside and teams are trying to exploit this.

Whether Iona wins a MAAC championship will depend solely on their level of intensity for all 3 games in Springfield. It wasn't there in the first half. It was in the 2nd. You see the difference.

Mike could have this every game. Love the 2nd half effort, Cluess has to find a way to bottle it

I agree, it really is that plain and simple Yes, it really comes down to intensity in all areas of the game especially rebounding and defense. Thought Glover was a beast in the second half. Seemed like he grabbed every rebound; which was impressive because it felt they killed us on the glass in the 1st half. If not for a bad traveling call and few more made FTs he would of had a 25-15 game. Also worth mentioning the effort by Ridley - that was huge. Also thought Momo played like a Pro yesterday. He was unstoppable going to the basket and really controlled the game.

Yes, indeed, we did see ;D Not taking anything away from the Giants, but who were those guys wearing Packer uniforms? I think the tragedy this week in GB really affected them. That wasn't the same team. But if they have to lose, I'm glad it was the Giants. If Wellington Mara hadn't agreed to revenue sharing, the Giants would be the Yankees of football and the Packers wouldn't exist. I'll root for the Gmen the rest of the way. That would be something if they got a rematch with the Patriots in the SB and beat them again!!! I got my SB last year, looking for an Iona championship this year!!!
