The Journal News, Sunday morning edition, has Nevada as a 1.5 point favorite.
86, you answered about Erickson, but not whether Monroe College, is the Monroe in New Ro.

Sorry for the negative post, but I just think this team isn't in a good place right now and is a little lost. I think we lose by double digits unfortunately, hopefully I'm way off. On the bright side, if Poole checks Burton all game we have a chance to maybe hold hjm under 40.

The Journal News, Sunday... morning edition, has Nevada as a 1.5 point favorite...Quote... IC59.....I give up on a true line for Iona games...I to saw that line in the paper this morning, yet when I checked LaVegas latest lines on internet also this morning, we are still a 1 1/2 to 2 point favorite...The hell with it, lets just win.....While checking line, noted a surprising starting over and under line of 170...That is one of the highest I have seen...I guess Nevada does not play any defense either......

Bigger arena than I thought. Not sure what kind of crowd they will have, but I'm guessing I'll be out-numbered. Always tough to win on the road. Just need to play our game - and a little defense.

Hopefully we can come out with intensity on defense to feed the offense in transition to grab a lead early. In my opinion Bowman will be the X-Factor today if we play well on both ends. We need his rebounding and clutch shots. I am sure rebounding and defense were points of emphasis since the St. Bonaventure game. Hoping David Laury can develop that little bit of nastiness/toughness to his game that Mike Glover brought to the court. If he wants to be an alpha dog he needs to find that grit when things are not going well. We were taught that you need to get full value for your fouls, make it count foul hard. You send a message and maybe get in someone's head. No cheap shots with people in the air. Would love to see the first attempt to penetrate by Nevada end with a rejection or hard foul to set the tone. Hines and Robinson might be the players that fill that role. We need the change in attitude to get ready for Manhattan and the rest of the MAAC Conference. We need to focus on success versus not failing or fouling. Nothing worse then players on the court not wanting to have fouls called. This inevitably ends with them contributing nothing on D. At times that has been very apparent with our players. Let's be aggressive and smart. Points of emphasis today should be 1) fight for every rebound, slows their transition 2) communicate clearly on defense and 3) challenge every shot. Hoping for full effort from the entire team. Let's play hard, let's win! GO GAELS!

Overall they are playing much better. Very good ball movement, and much more energy on D than we've seen in the two prior games.
