. We should assert our superior assists right from the get-go...At no time should we go into a slow down mood and allow them to regain a confidence mood...At no time should we endanger the teams continuity by going into any clock management game...The game plan should be destroy any thoughts of victory they might have...quote In prior games against them, we have allowed good leads get away simply because we tried to ''Milk the clock''......Let them watch the clock in a ''warm up the bus'' mood.......[/quote] Does Cluess read our board? Game looked like a replay of above post.

Great effort today. play like this for 2 more days and the Gaels will be dancing again. Really happy for Sledge to get lots of PT and play well. His smile on the bench after his dunk was priceless. this team is so much fun to watch. keep it going guys !!!

Agreed. But we have other players that can bring the ball up against pressure, no reason to place that burden on AJ. His work load is high enough as it is. Seen plenty of the today. Worked like champ and created a lot of open looks from the corners and gaps to drive. Good job IC we got this covered.

Wasn't a great crowd Tiger. Plenty of Gael fans though. Met Dr. Nyre while I was buying a pretzel. Told him I thought he's doing a great job.

Watching St Peters hang around with Manhattan. Alvarado looks like he recovered from the sprained ankle. Manhattan fouls like crazy on their press. If we have Laury bring it up against them (assuming we both play Monday night) we'll be fine. Laury can pass right over the pressure. May want to consider using Hines against Brown in the second half. Have Hines foul Brown hard. Put him on the line and don't let him get a shot off. Hines has fouls to give.
I see that the miracle of Billy Baron playing foul free basketball continues. The MAAC's version of the immaculate conception.

Some thoughts from the game:
1. No injuries, quality bench minutes and no stress. Best outcome we could've asked for in our first game.
2. DL3 with another beast performance. He was robbed in the stat sheet, no way he only had 11 boards.
3. AJ not at his best but made smart decisions and didn't force shots. Showed a lot of maturity, now time for a huge performance tomorrow.
4. Springfield turning into Tre's home away from home. Let's hope he keep it up tomorrow.
5. Good to see IW take it to the hoop on his own. Adds a whole other dimension to our already potent offense.
6. Poole continues to pick up quick and senseless fouls early in the game, which hurts us and changes the substitution strategy completely. We'll need him to play smarter tomorrow to beat the griffs.
7. Sledge seems to have finally gotten his first step back. Great to see him getting back to regular form.
8. Interior defense was pretty good today but will need to be on a different level tomorrow to control the griffs.
9. Guys are a little banged up, between Sean's ankle tweak, Hines' near concussion, IW's ankle tweak and dl3's wrist. The garbage time was huge today. Hopefully they can keep grinding it out.
10. Sean stepping it up as a leader once again. Tomorrow will showcase him vs baron in a battle of two class players who put the team before themselves.
Bring on the griffs.
Go Gaels!!!

Good stuff 05. You always do a nice job. Thought one of the calls against Mike early on was pretty ticky tack. A push off on a rebound. When Sean went down I must have said "Oh no" 11 times. My son and nephew were laughing at me. Hope Ryden is ok, he hit the floor pretty hard. Tough kid. We need guys like that.

The early foul trouble on Poole was a blessing in disguise. It enabled Tavon to get quality minutes and perform very well.
