Which conference is better? Can we glean anything from this tournament?
A-10 six bids, with their highest seeded team being a 5. 2-4 in first round with a loss to Stephen F. Austin (anyone know what the F stands for?. Two wins were St. Louis coming back from a 16 pt second half deficit to beat NC State. State couldn't make their FTs down the stretch. 1 pt waning seconds win for Dayton over Ohio State. State had a lay up attempt that would've won the game.
BE three bids, with their highest seeded team being a 2. 2-1 in the first round. Creighton struggled with the ragin' cajun's, but hit big shots late to win; Villanova won easily. Dawg's Friars lost a nail biter as an 11 seed.
Which conference is having the better showing? Should the A-10 have gotten six bids? Should the Big East have gotten more?
Also to note BE mid pack St. John's beat A-10 cellar dweller Fordham by 50 pts this year.

F stands for Fuller. Heard it on a sports talk radio show, a few days ago. I told my 12 year old granddaughter. Told her that she'd be the only one in her class who knew it. Her reply, "Pa, nobody cares". Now, I can tell her that ctbill cares.

A-10. Big East just got worse with Buzz Williams leaving. Adding Butler another mistake. Big East quickly becoming a mid major

tau, right on. Of course they'll (BE) probably steal a couple of A10 teams, which will make them a little stronger and the A10 a lot weaker if that happens. So it's not much of a reach for Seton Hall, if their recruits are as good as advertised, to move towards the top of the League.

Who does the BE poach? STL and Dayton? Maybe ACC poaches the Big East again? Maryland is leaving, maybe ACC looks to grab Georgetown and Villanova. A10 should just swallow up the rest

Creighton out. Loses by 30. BE didn't survive the weekend.

After the FIRST weekend, between the two conferences, there is only one team remaining. And that's only ONE team more than the MAAC. As the song says, "Times they are a-changing".

BE appears to be over rated. Has a 3 seed ever lost by 30 pts in a tourney game?
It appears the A-10 didn't deserve 6 bids. Four of them didn't survive the first day. Dayton just barely beat a floundering Syracuse team.

Dayton just barely beat a floundering Syracuse team. And Dayton was team number 6. I'm a fan, so I'm happy, but certainly doesn't seem like either the BE or A-10 were as good as they were given credit for. Manhattan almost made it to Saturday and given the right matchup I think the Gaels could have. Maybe next year.
