The MAAC has been awful, what's the current conference rpi rank? Could this end up being the worst ever? From RealTime RPI Conf. RPI Rank: 21 Conf. SOS Rank: 19 Sagarin also has MAAC @ 21.

Thanks, Super. Just looked at Realtime and very disappointing to see leagues like the NEC, Patriot and Ivy currently ranked higher than the MAAC. The MAAC is traditionally right smack in the middle around 14-17 (out of 32). Not certain how much improvement can be expected with conference play just around the corner. Not good.

SJU playing the Gaels tonight--St Mary's. ? Johnnies eke out a sloppy game against the Gaels 53-47; they are long but sloppy and act like a bunch of thugs. They caught quite a few breaks from the refs in the 2nd half after being down by as many as 16 in the first half. I know I'm biased, but we could handle them.

Johnnies vs Gaels in 5/12 matchup from Columbus to erase our ncaa drought and the Ohio curse. :-)

]It happens. The league is pretty young right now.[/quote]...and pretty awful! [/quote The MAAC is right now a conference with its share of tired ''Has Been'' and ''Never were'' coaches...The MAAC games I have watched have been listless with a feeling of ''Lets get this over with'' contests... Unless this contagious disease is contained it will be in danger of falling further into the abyss of lowering its position of a highly rated mid-major to one of lower conference rating.... Over 4 years ago we took a chance with a coach who although not a younger man had vision knowledge and ambition...It has paid off big time...The MAAC leaders must see the danger ahead and follow with a transfusion of new blood.

Manhattan now 3-6 after winning at home versus Morgan State 73-69. Yeesh, that's a four point win over a MEAC team at home.

Canisius now 5-4 after winning handily at home over Holy Cross 67-48. North Texas (6-4) up by 51-24 with about 15 minutes to play, barely hang on to win at home over Creighton 62-58. Really nice win despite Creighton outscoring them 34-11 down the stretch.
