Will be an exciting game! With Hines and Amayo coming on strong we will win this one.
Much more balance.

This will be a good experience for Hines. Very good front court with Lalanne and Esho. They're going to be difficult to handle. Take what you can and learn from it.
Tough game on the road. Would be thrilled with a win, but very difficult opponent. I think they like to get up and down too, so we should have the tempo we want. Have at it lads and have fun.

Florida G.C. who we beat by 19 points took care of UMASS at UMASS...F.G.C. made 10 threes and won by 9...That is our main weapon and we may be able to duplicate....They have a big man who at 6-10 is very good defensively...
IMO UMASS will be the slight favorite due to home court advantage.....Our RPI is a few points better then theirs which has dropped considerably with recent losing play...
Lets not get negative over this game...We are entering it with a winning attitude, they have lost 5 out of their last 6...That factor can have a big a big psychological affect especially if we can grab a mindset let down early lead...

Who's negative? This is a tough opponent on the road. Its hard to win on the road in college basketball unless you're playing a patsy. Then its relatively easy. This is a game where if we play well, we have a chance to win. Cornell beat George Mason. We lost to George Mason. OT do you think we'd be an underdog v. Cornell? These comparative outcomes don't mean all that much.
A big part of AJ's game is taking it to the hoop and drawing contact/getting to the FT line. If he gets the calls on the road that's like an extra 6-8 pts from FTs. I'll be watching that from early on. If he doesn't we need to make up those points. And if he doesn't he needs to keep his head in the game and not sulk. Same with Dave. No point in whining to the refs either - that won't help.

Will be a good guard matchup. I feel Iona has more threats from deep. Would be good to see AJ, Shadrac and Isaiah go off from 3.

There seems to be a great lack these days of reading understanding...It appears to come from what you want it to be instead of what is actually said... I wrote ''Lets not get negative''...No way did it say you or anybody else was negative... Also...Comparative scores are a big factor in sports and are used with other stats in formulating all ratings, polls, and wagering factors...To think otherwise and believe also that whining to the refs could not have a affect on a game is extremely naive and reveals a lack of understanding human emotion......No need to be reminded that they are a tough opponent as I wrote that I expect them to be a slight favorite..

If you have an Iona Insider subscription, you can watch the UMass game on your computer courtesy of Neulion and A10 Network sharing.
Note however, this game is not available on mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, Android).
