Just re-watched the ending of the game. And three thoughts about the critical steal of the inbounds pass by AJ: 1. SPU was out of timeouts and couldn't set up an inbounds play. 2. Bebis' guarded the guy trying to inbound the ball, which was right in front of the Iona bench. His wing span contributed, imo, greatly to the steal. 3. Our defense, possibly got an assist fem the Iona coaches.

In today's MAAC Media teleconference both Dunn and Cluess said the matter is still under review by the conference.

I don't get why this is taking so long. It was 3 days ago. Couple phone calls to gather info, and you have the video. Then get everyone on a conference call and make a determination. That said, perhaps that was the plan, but there is disagreement regarding a factor or two--such as whether AJ "threw" the ref or if he just slipped.

If I am the MAAC i put a few days between the "incident" and a low punishment or no punishment decision.

I think he won't get suspended, if there was a rumor of suspension don't you think Fairfield would have wanted to play this week

Man I thought MTS had no life based on what everyone says about him on the MAAC board. What on Earth can inspire Soup to make his avocation finding whatever bit of dirt he can on Iona's Men's basketball program and when he can't just making stuff up? The amount of effort he appears to put into this is weird. And so is the focus. He appears to spend more time doing this than rooting for Siena or Marist or where ever he went to college.

Just go to the public records and you will find much worse stuff happening at Siena than the crazy stuff he makes up about Iona. For example, seven cases of illegal weapons possession on Siena's campus. SMH.

MTS and Soup aren't even worth laughing at. Those are two pathetic SOBs. Some kind of weird revenge of the nerds thing going on? Hard to say without a psychological evaluation of them.

You'd think a grown up who wants to root out corruption might target the Pentagon, or White House, or Congress, or the state government, or if in college basketball, North Carolina. But he spends a lot of his time looking for dirt on a mid-major men's basketball program. Crazy. You just have to know when he tweets Ensor or the MAAC they're thinking he's a nut.

Sorry for getting off topic here but Friday is a big time game regardless of AJ's situation. ESPNU. Saw a lot of fans/alumni get into it last game, interacting entertainingly in the student section. The students really appreciate the passion and the players really feed off the energy. Hopefully that continues for the rest of the season. Let's pack Hynes Friday, get LOUD (6th man) and continue to pile up those wins

I hope the MAAC gets better refs for the game. The refs in the SPU game were a joke. One of the refs, Jeff Fox, had officiated only ten D1 games in his career before the SPU tilt, according to StatSheet.com. Earl Robinson had reffed only seven games this year before SPU/Iona. The third ref, Brandon Cruz, was the experienced ref with 26 contests this season. The better D1 refs do about 75 games a year. The crew totally lost control of the game despite calling three technicals. This crew should be reprimanded for their poor performance, lack of judgement and poor knowledge of the rules. No way should there be two inexperienced refs in one game.
