I disagree with Masiello, also. Because it's not one of the top jobs in the country. But the point I was trying to convey was that it indicates that he seems to want the job. Which is good because I thought that maybe nobody wanted it. But your right, it's definitely not one of the top jobs in the country.
Though I'd rather play in the Big East then the ACC unless it was Duke, UVA or UNC. Plus, it was a higher RPI conference then the ACC the last two years and we got a higher percentage of teams in the tourney. ESPN does not have their contract anymore so of course they are talking down the league. CBS the same thing. Even if they dropped down to sixth it would still be a great league. But they aren't, they were second. Out of 32! You don't actually believe that stuff. One moron said the reason why nobody is paying a attention to Nova was because the Big East isn't the Big East anymore. No! It's because you don't have their TV contract anymore! If you watched FOX sports you would get a different story. They have the contract. You see, these people are just Media whores masquerading as serious professional journalists.
just wondering why you referred to the BE as we I referred to the BE as we because I love the BE. I grew up with it. St.John's plays in it and if there was ever a St. John's diehard....

But I've become a huge Iona fan too, because they remind me of my youth hanging around small Catholic school gyms. Also, the style of play and all the connections to Coach Cluess. Plus, I remember the Valvano-Ruland era. They really did kick our butts. Then the Kennedy teams with Gary Springer and Steve Burtt. (The fathers). I also went to school with Richie Guerin's son who played at Holy Cross College when they were a top 40 team. A ton of connections.

If Danny Hurley gets the SJU job, you'll have to put most of the Seton Hall fans on suicide watch. Can you say hot seat for KW?

Willard having a hot seat at this point in time would be a luxury for him, that's been incinerated, he maneuvering over hot coals with bare feet! The Seton Hall fan base hates him, and that hatred is extending to Lyons!

How far will loyalty go for Pat Lyons to keep Kevin Willard? Is it about something else?

husker76, I think it's about the future. And loyalty. SH seems to have bright future, and if the school made a change who knows how many of the team would leave. I would remind Pat Lyons (playing devil's advocate) that loyalty can be a bad thing. Just ask Jeff Ruland.

Zags reporting Dan Hurley no longer in the mix, others (including TC) are... "Rhode Island coach Danny Hurley this week will sign a six-year extension that takes him through the 2020-21 season at the school and is no longer a candidate at St. John’s or any other school, a source told SNY.tv on Sunday.
Hurley had been considered a leading candidate to replace Steve Lavin at St. John’s, along with legendary former St. John’s player Chris Mullin and perhaps former St. John’s guard Mark Jackson. Manhattan coach Steve Masiello and Iona coach Tim Cluess are also in the mix, per sources."zagsblog.com/articles/dan-hurley-to-sign-extension-at-rhode-island-no-longer-a-candidate-at-st-johns/

Zags pushing Grasso for SJU... "Mullin will need to set about hiring a strong staff to help him transition to college and recruit. Iona assistant Jared Grasso, arguably the top recruiter in the metropolitan area, would be a strong hire.
Mullin is also close with Kentucky assistant Barry “Slice” Rohrssen — a fellow Brooklyn boy..."zagsblog.com/articles/chris-mullin-expected-to-take-st-johns-job/#more-132024
