The great Valpo just lost to Ball state. Didn't think they'd go 29-1

The great Valpo just lost to Ball state. Didn't think they'd go 29-1 Just shows they aren't top 25 good, probably not at large good and we if we are any good we shouldn't have lost to them or OSU by 20+. As for Iona05's comments about the negativity I think there is just too long of a layoff that is giving us nothing new to talk about. As for me I still can't get over how bad we played the first two games. It's not like we had all new players, our top 3 are returnees. Wish I could get past the start, but the Delaware game wasn't impressive enough for me to just forget about it. Hoping we see a much better team after this lay off but I'll need to see it a few games to feel confidant that it was truly just a bad start.

So I guess you're saying because of this loss to Ball St. Valpo isn't very good and since we lost to Valpo by 25 we aren't any good at all. I guess I've done a poor job of making my point, so I'll make it again hopefully clearer. Valpo was way ahead of us and much better than us WHEN WE PLAYED THE GAME. I think if we play them in late January instead of the first game of the year, its maybe an 8 point loss at their place, 4 point loss neutral court, even game at our place. I guess the board has determined we aren't any good this year. That's good, because that should relieve a lot of stress. We shouldn't expect this team to do anything, we were fooled by the pre-season hype, and we've learned it early rather than late. So we should basically pack it in now. I hope the team realizes that its fans have packed it in and don't believe in them, that they can right the ship and develop this year and hopefully they just band together and worry about themselves instead of fans.

Your putting words in my mouth. Just saying we shouldn't have lost to them by 25, they are good but not great. We should have been more ready to play. I am saying the team needs to show me with their play that the start was indeed just a poor start. It may have been but I need to see to believe.

No Bill it is you that keep missing the point. The spin comments, "I'd rather be good in March than November, "I am happy after those two routs, "ND may not be that good", etc. we aren't getting carried away, you are.

Why do you think what I'm saying is "spin." These are my opinions. I don't work for the basketball team. You disagree with them. That's fine, I respect that.

The only thing I've come away with is the reason why Iona doesn't participate in neutral site tourneys is money. Thanks to what Super posted and to what Guy inferred, when posting about TC's take on them. And while I can understand the budget concern, I do see it as missing the point of using the BB team to help raise fund raising totals, by giving the team the opportunity to make headlines.

That is exactly what you said. You may have meant to say something different, and that's fine.
