According to the Fordham Message Board, they will be playing Boston Univ. in the CIT. It only cost the school $30K. I can't find the other schools, though I've seen the list, and while I don't remember all the names, I came away with the feeling that a 'field' that includes schools with 200+ RPI's is a farce. However, I don't blame Fordham for buying the bid. You have to start somewhere. But right now Iona is playing DI and Fordham is playing CYO. They've been in a cesspool for two decades. If being one of the tallest midgets makes them happy, so be it.

Well, it's finally time to re-establish this thread. Here's hoping the Gaels quickly gel as a team, avoid injuries and provide us with a thrilling season and another trip to the Big Dance.

Marist lost to #1 Duke 94-49. Khalid Hart scored 13, but the Red Foxes only made 3 of 25 three point shot attempts (12%).
Manhattan lost to Bucknell 76-64. The Jaspers out-rebounded the Bisons 45-31, but committed 26 fouls and 24 turnovers.
Delaware beat Goldey-Beacom College 64-56.
Monmouth defeated Drexel 78-65.The Hawks had 4 players in double figures, led by Micah Seaborne with 17.
Fairfield defeated Sacred Heart 85-63.The Stags who shot over 52%, also had 4 players in double figures,led by Cobb who tallied 26 points.
Rider won at Hampton 67-56. The Broncs shot 25 of 54 (46.3%) for the game.
NJIT easily won at home over Sarah Lawrence 100-37.
Fairleigh Dickinson lost at Seton Hall 91-70.
