I haven't turned off a Gael game in many years, but this is pointless and unwatchable I enjoy pain or I would do the same. Team came out passing and running some semblance of o, now it's just all one on one garbage. Much never passes.

Waiting to see if Bill is happy with this one too. Embarrassing performance across the board.

One thing hasn't changed, we don't play any defense. We weren't allowed at an open practice because it is not possible this team ever practiced. time to follow gregs lead, I don't enjoy this much pain.

Turned it off, disgraceful beavers brought their "c" game and they are up by 25! Unwatchable

Rough start to the season. Team looks unprepared.

Hopeful we can turn things around against Delaware. Valpo & OSU games were tough to watch.

Baby steps. JMO, but I think we played better, tonight. Not well, but better than Sunday.

Awful start. No reason we should be totally uncompetitive against two solid but not great teams.
Having said that, we will plow through the maac and get our act together come January. Just disappointing to see another OOC slate squandered away.
Will be shocked if we don't win convincingly on Friday.

I really don't have the words. Oh wait, yes I do--mediocrity. The run the past few years was great while it lasted, but now you all know why I get so ticked off at the March choke jobs. The window of success doesn't remain open long, particularly. And now, we're on the other wall, far away from the window. We're actually at the doorway to mediocrity at this point.

The coaching staff has has a ton of work to do with this team. Too much hype to begin the season and it appears the players and staff bought into it. Lets see if these humiliating losses get the players and coaches re focused.

I disagree that this game was embarrassing. There were far too many rushed shots (English and Much) and taking care of the ball was an afterthought (Typical Iona since Pat Kennedy days for some reason). Still, the Gaels played hard and if not for the sloppy play, at times, the game would have been more competitive. Interior defense was weak but that may be because Coach Cluess is experimenting (figuring out) rotation of the front court. Washington should get the majority of the minutes, in my opinion, based on the one game I have seen. I think sustained minutes for one of the three bigs would be be a benefit. Or Cluess could play more than one at a time, especially against a team with Oregon State's size. Also, and this is a huge also, Oregon State is incredibly talented. They are giving considerable minutes to freshman this early in the season. Likely there will be some off games because of their youth but at the end of the season they should be a force.

Based on what you all are posting, I suppose I'm lucky that I couldn't get to watch this game on any of the links provided. But just based on the bits of audio I was able to get and perusing the box score, it is (sadly) time to stop referring to English as a future NBA player. Yes he scored 20, but that was on 4-17 shooting and he had more turnovers than assists. Also, in the chat room of the Valpo game, I was all over Much as a "chucker" but it appears in this game that he was probably our most effective player, with 15 points on 5-9 shooting, so hopefully he will continue to improve.

If nothing else the last few years this team was fun to watch. These first 2 games I actually turned off before the end, unable to watch the offense they are playing. look like a nyc street ball team. They will be lucky to go 3-6 in the OOC schedule. Tulsa beat #9 Wichita state tonight. URI and Tulsa games will be 2 more twenty point beatings, and the Las Vegas games will be tough. I was expecting the possibility of an 0-2 start, but the way the team is playing is an embarrassment.
Hope TC and the team proves me wrong, but I am starting to believe this is who we are as a program. The big bully during the MAAC season beating up on a bunch of weak teams, but never reaching our full potential, and not being able to beat the big boys. very frustrating

Just awful, awful basketball. What has been the game plan for two whole games? Didn't have a strategy at all? If we did, we didn't even come close to sniffing it. What plays are we running? The team looks lost and disinterested. No one seems angry at all, other than Washington. Just an embarrassing start. If this is how we are going to show up, stop scheduling like this. Play some struggling local - what's the point of getting destroyed and looking disorganized?
