This is a slow time of year, for me, as I wait for:
1. NFL training camps to open. 2. Answer on Waivers. 3. Info on our schedule (OOC).
As a result I re-watched the video and read the writeup on Dylan, and I must say I was quite impressed. During his soph season he had a 25 point scoring game and a 17 board game. In his video, his athleticism caught my eye, especially his shot blocking. Granted I've never seen him in person but I do feel confident with him either backing up or playing along side TA. A very good "Get".

A very good "Get". I am impressed with his game -a skillset similar to Tajuan. Like Tajuan, he can get pushed around in low. Having said that, pick your poison if they are on the floor at the same time. The talent on this team can really spread the floor. Roster is up, and I am happy to see Michael Ortale on it. This kid is a head scratcher to me only because he is a walk on.

youtu.be/xq65Cegvn8sThis is Netherlands vs China on the FIBA 3X3 U23 world championships. It's the complete game so it's Dylan's complete game. Not a hilite reel. Speaks to his potential. Talented and athletic. A few quick things: 1) The video is ahead of the audio. The video is great quality. The announcer mentions Dylan throughout. Can be confusing. 2) 3X3 rules now are not the same 3X3 rules we used on the school yard in the 1960s. 3) Yao Ming in attendance. 4) China was 4-0 and the Netherlands 3-1.

On the maac conference call today Cluess talked about him like he really likes him, he usually doesn’t hand out praise this easily to a newcomer. He called him “a very good shooter”. Van Eyck may not start game 1 but have a feeling he will shortly after that and even by game 1 may be one of the 5 in there when it matters. How good this kid plays, may be the difference in how good this team can be.
