I still get the feeling the NCAA will screw around with this, and we'll find out October 14.

I thought I read somewhere that TC thought the decision would come this week or next.

NCAA is keeping busy. They just declared one third (three guys) of their nine man recruiting class ineligible for the Fall semester. Not sure, but I believe the three are Samson, Garrett and Pelle.

That's a big hit for the Red Storm. A couple of those guys were projected as big-time contributors.

That's a huge blow for the Johnnies! I do wonder with all the Hippa regulations how the NCAA goes about verifing the health status of Momo's Grandmother, I guess she has to sign a release to the clearinghouse? What a world!

Ghost, I'm sure the NCAA looks for verification from MoMo's family physician. They would then, and I'm guessing, take the doctor's analysis to their medical board. As for St. John's it might be a blessing in disguise. All nine recruits couldn't get sufficient PT and it would have resulted in some unhappy campers. Of course I don't know if they have a replacement for the center (Pelle), but know they have a lot of wings. Anyway St. John's will be as good as their PG (??) is. Whoever he is. And this year their team should struggle because of their inexperience, though they have talent.

That's a very interesting question with the privacy laws now in place guarding against disclosing that kind of info. My guess is the more detail chosen to be revealed to the ncaa the better chances the applicant might have. I would also think the distance from home would have to be taken into consideration. I also wonder who are the people that ultimately make the decision - will it be the same group as the player from LaSalle had or is it an entirely different group?

With only 1 returning player, all 9 recruits would have gotten time. 8 scholly players is tought o rol with. I think St Johns is on probation by 2013

Tau, I don't see why SJU would be on probation. Is there something I'm missing?

Tau, I don't see why SJU would be on probation. Is there something I'm missing? Well someone sent the 3 ineligible recruits to RISE Academy and they all got straight A's which is what Clearinghouse denied. Who do you think sent the kids to that school? And if thats the cse, who know what else is going on there. Lavin signed 9 top 100 kids in a hurry, very Calipariesque if you ask me
