Two years ago Iona came back from a good weekend in Orlando and if memory serves were "hung over" and lost a MAAC game--to SPC I believe.
Last year Iona had the horrid Cleveland trip, but later scared Syracuse, and then were "hung over" vs Vermont.
With a strong opponent coming in Wednesday, we can't afford another hangover. There are going to be a couple losses along the way, but they should NEVER NEVER NEVER be at home.
The other thing I fear is the "Joebird Rule", that the more fans we have, the more likely we'll lose. After the buzz we created in San Juan, I bet the students who aren't already heading home will be out in full force. So, that's TWO things that are working against us from a historical perspective.
Let's hope me typing that stuff out removes the chances of their occurrences!

I know one thing and that is St. Joes will bring a lot of their fans.

Cluess should read your post to the team at practice today Guy. Also Scotty (hard for me to admit) may be passing Rory Grimes as the best All-time Gael PG after this season.

Not certain we should expect a huge crowd Wednesday night. Would imagine a good chunk of the students will be gone by then.
