I feel a technical post, such as it has to be a top 50 high school recruit, coming  No actually the technicality is based on age. I thought we were keeping it to 25 and under crowd. ;D Now you're inviting Mr. Campbell into the frey. |

A big prep school coach in North Carolina (from Queens originally) I met in April said he thought Iona made the best hire of anyone in the area and said he'd be happy to send his kids up there. Nice compliment, but I still have never heard Mike Francessa speak in such glowing superlatives (about anyone) as he did about TC when all those metro area coaching jobs were up for grabs. Not that Francessa is always correct, but you seldom hear him speak about someone like that. |

Armand & Glover this late in the process is truly amazing. I hate to say it again but the team is now better than what Willard would have returned, even with another player transferring. I also get the feeling that this staff doesn't think of themselves of a mid major that can only get a mid major recruit. They will take a chance and try to steal a major recruit. Willard only thought of Iona as a mid major and never would even try for someone higher. I like what I see so far. Has willy given us a game? No, but he's given us game! |

Just the burly power type forward we need....In the past few years, we have been hurt by just this type player....
In watching the video, I would guess about 230 lbs...how close am I?.

I certainly don't know whether he is in school or not, but I do know the second summer semester at Iona begins this Tuesday (July 6th) and runs till the end of July or early August.

Whats with these rumors.....;;
Machado's interview was only this past week...Does it really give any room to worry..I have also seen him at a scrimmage a little over a week ago...He plays summer league basketball, and has for the past 2 years...Caught him at Orchard Beach last summer..
Someone even questioned if Dwight might leave...He is a good student...He is a senior, and has given no indication that he is the type who would leave or would sit our a year for one more year of college basketball..Also saw him on campus last week
By my count at least 5 other have been rumored as gone..Lets give it a break for a while.....

I know that Glover's got some work to do this summer to be ready to play for us come October. Whether he does that work at Eastern Utah or at Iona is irrelevant.
