Going to take a much better performance than the Marist game to knock off the Stags in their building, even though the Stags have looked pretty inept so far this season. RPI Forecast puts us as a 9.5 point favorite.
Go Gaels!!!

We need healthy bodies. Hines and Robinson can absorb some minutes against their front line. Looking forward to further development of this team. Would like to see more aggressive defense on perimeter as we get ready for the remaining OOC games. One game at a time. LET'S GO GAELS!

Fairfield has lost its last six games...We should hold the rebounding advantage...Their best rebounder Barrow is a burly 6-5...IMO the Gails will be ready and we will beat the spread which I understand will be about 9-10--Iona...
Preview look Fairfield = Quinny. ESPN Friday Nov. 6th 8:30 pm at Quinny.....Will give you a look at Quinny's nice Field House.........

Iona needs to work on breaking the press. It was alarming how poorly Iona handled it yesterday. I hope Tavon gets in game shape soon, as he can help. Laury needs to be less of a liability from the free throw line. His mechanics are terrible as they do not include his legs. He needs one of the coaches to work with him or he should consider going the Rick Barry route. I would play off him and dare him to shoot from the outside and I would foul him late in tight games.

I have come to a point where I think playing a team on a long losing streak is no bargain, particularly if they are home. I would think either Manhattan will go down to Marist or Iona will fall to Fairfield. This is the MAAC after all.

I agree that Laury's free throw mechanics appear terrible ( no leg involvement ). But I'm sure the coaches notice this. Perhaps he's a killer with free throws in practice and they don't tamper with his stroke. We have a competent and highly qualified coaching staff. We have to trust there are reasons why.

Going to be a tricky game for us. Never easy to win in Fairfield's building and with their style of play. Hopefully we can dictate tempo early and blow them out.

if we are as good as we all think we are, we shouldn'y have to worry about the bad teams in the maac, its not a regular year the maac is awful. fairfield is ranked 348 of 352 d1 schools, if we are as good as we think we are nothing less than 17-3 or 16-4 is acceptable. i know it might seem like expecting alot but we half our confernce will be ranked in the bottom 100 rpi if not more, good teams don't lose to 250 or below gaels by 12 sunday

Every line so far for Iona games has shown Vegas does not think much of the Gaels.
