Never easy to win in Jersey City. Need to avoid the trap game and make sure we don't look ahead to Manhattan.

With epatrick and iona1970, it looks like a big fan edge for the Gaels. On the radio feed, I'll be listening for, "Rebound, right side!!"

A short history to those going to the game...Even when I was able, I dreaded going to a game in Jersey City to a St. Peter's game......It was at one time under Mayor Hague and one of the most corrupt cities in the Nation...He salary never was not much more then $10,000 a year, yet he became a multi-millionaire...Each year he sent out his police to sell tickets to Opening day to the Jersey City Giants of the International league....Even though the Stadium only held 25,000, he oversold by cohesion over 100,000 tickets...If stopped for a traffic infraction, you bought game tickets from the officer instead of receiving one. This was done for all sporting and civic events. He was untouchable and ruled for over 50 years...The city has never fully recovered...He died in the late 1940's...
I have seen Peacock games that were once held at the Cities Armory, a much better location then the dismal present day spot...
For those going to the game...We found the best way was after crossing the G.W. bridge, follow signs to Rte. 46, then a very short way make left to Rte.1...After about 5 miles look for St.Peter's signs which is at the base of a very cold windy hill...Good luck to you and the team...I'll defer to a warm den and Iona Insider.....

Great balanced scoring in the first half. Starting to show that consistency.

Excellent first half. Like seeing that balanced scoring and Poole 5-5. GO GAELS!

Good first half , bad second half, I will blame it on fatigue. Huge one Friday.

Fatigue yes. But why play 6 guys with another getting little time. Gonna need more players than that at tournament time. Sledge and Hines in the doghouse?

jerry, that is the $64 question. A natural question in the post game interview with Bill O'Keefe. Of course it was never asked.

Two contrasting styles. First half, uptempo Iona type game and second half slow down, half court style game SPU preferred.
As fatigue set in, I think we all were wondering why Gomez, Sledge, and Hines were not inserted to spell tired players. We need the bench depth as our top 6 players will run out of gas and we will struggle in a tight possession by posession game.
Laury & Poole share the game MVP today.
