They've got to be better than this...this weekend has got to be an aberration...there's too much talent on this team...they're playing like the Minnesota Vikings...

This is the worst loss in Iona history! I would also say this is the worst start ever, including going 0-21.
I hate to say it but Cluess is in over his head. Lyons took a gamble which I and many of us liked and it is turning out to be a disaster. He will have to do some magic to turn this around, we may see a mass exodus come end of the first semester.
From the little I have seen and heard they have zero ability to defend the 3, and you can't beat anybody if you let people shoot wide open 3's.
Has Iona ever been on the positive side of a buzzer beater?
Richmond may beat us by 30.
How did such an optimistic season turn so bad so quickly, and to think I purchased Maac tourney passes. This is really a nightmare, wake me up!

And I have not even opened my season ticket package..
I just put my head out the window and shouted......
"I am mad as hell and not going to take this any more."
This will be with my previous health problems the 2nd year in a row I need time to recover....
Is it possible that our secret practices have been penetrated? .....or we have a World renowned Professor teaching Grammar school. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

They were outrebounded by 8, 11 and 10. You can't win any games that way. Also shot 17-30, 17-23 (not horrible) and 15-24 from the FT line. Disgusting. This is on the coaching staff as much as the player ,if not more. Unexcusable to be 0-3. Now we get Richmond. I plan on attending anyone what to join me in a beverage to drown the sorrow.

Got back from a family reunion up in New Jersey a while ago.
I watched the game last night and some of my younger nieces and nephews learned a few new words, which my siblings are none to happy about.
I have one niece who graduated from Richmond. She's not a big basketball fan, but she did tell me that the Spiders would put a hurt on Iona. Right now, I'm wondering how big a hurt will they lay on us.
When we left today, I just figued that missing the Bryant game would be no big deal. This one was in the bag, right? Well, I caught the end on the web and have been in total shock ever since. We just lost to the worst team in D-1, which our opponents beat by a total of more than 50.
I had such high expectations and hopes for the new coaches and this team. I haven't given up, but it's hard right now. I thought about posting Bluto's "Over" speech from Animal house, but just can't bring myself to do it.
I'm going to keep the faith and I'm hoping Cluess and the Gaels can turn it around.
Go Gaels!!!
