We did get minutes from the bench nic and cashew got 10 minutes we and maybe we got Perez back today Why the infatuation with Risto? We won 2 games with 3 guys not playing and we played great D, do you think coincidence or the coaches know something I guess you missed my post after the Siena game that I was surprised how bad he looked and didn't deserve PT. My point was I can't believe he can't even get into a game with 2 minutes left up 25. So no. There is no infatuation with Risto. Just surprised how far backwards his game has gone. Starting Friday night Iona plays 4 games in 8 days. Not sure how sustainable it is playing 5 guys 35+ minutes a game. Throw in the fact that a few of the guys are foul prone, in my opinion, there will probably be a game or two where Iona will need more than Nikolic and Cashaw if there will be a serious run to avoid the PIG. Arnold has had to take the chance of playing guys decent minutes with 2 fouls in the 1st half and so far dodged the bullet. Don't we play 4 games in 9 days every time?

Defense dominant. Triggering the offense. Energy level through the roof. Agree that our defense has been better, but think the improvement in our offense is why we have won the last two games. Don't know what they (FF) are averaging over the season but do know that FF isn't a good offensive team. And they shot 36%, yesterday, but our shooting (57%) was off the charts. Ross is the BIG surprise for me. Didn't realize that he was this good a deep shooter, thinking of him as a slasher. I am theorizing that the adrenaline push you get from defending your ass off with results is what's fueling the offensive confidence. We didn't just magically figure out how to shoot.

Incredible turnaround from last week. Guys playing as expected. Van Eyck played very well this weekend, just what his video and JUCO stats suggested. 11 rebounds 2 steals 2 assists, with solid defense. played D on Taliaferro most of the game holding him to 1-7 from three. Have to assume Thiam was out injured all week. Risto was out there warming up and stretching so have no idea what the story is with him, just amazing he didn't get in if not injured. I get the entire shortening the rotation at this time of the year, but will need some contribution from the bench. What a great weekend, didn't see this coming We did get minutes from the bench nic and cashew got 10 minutes we and maybe we got Perez back today Why the infatuation with Risto? We won 2 games with 3 guys not playing and we played great D, do you think coincidence or the coaches know something All fair points. People are worrying about our depth but in all of Tim's years he's settled on 5-6 guys with megaminutes and a sprinkling of others as needed. And as I have been saying for what seems like years now, Risto is not playing for a reason.

Nikolic and Cashaw are better defenders than the other subs and they don't turn the ball over on O. That's why they're getting the minutes. Risto has a whole host of issues and Mo is a defensive liability. Perez did OK yesterday and his 3 was quite welcome. Really, that's 8 guys, do you need more than that?

The team looked gassed at the U4 of the 2nd half I think the only player who ever looks gassed is Agee, and he will get spelled by Nik as needed. Ross played a lot yesterday because he was on fire, but if he is not on fire you can put Perez out there and not lose much on either side of the ball, especially if Perez is occasionally finding his shot again. Crawford sat a lot with foul trouble and wasn't gassed. Jelly's body language never changes so it's hard to tell if he got tired. Van Eyck has a good motor and didn't seem too tired to me either. But I agree with you on Agee.

A well thought out response. The magic isn't in figuring out how to shoot. More to do with having the right pieces in place, and throw in a little ball movement along with some added confidence. And bring to a slow boil. Let cool before tasting.

Played well in important part of game. Sometimes just making a shot just clicks a player in, fingers crossed. IF Perez plays close to how he played last season that would be a huge boost.

Ross with 16 & 23 over the weekend. (Big difference in our offense when the 3s fall) Team held Kelly to 8 and Taliaferro to 5. (Another big difference) Iona hasnt had a POW yet. Both Crawford and Ross have a chance. Crawford gets POW.
