Women win their first road game and improve to 2-3, defeating Wagner, 67-55. Balanced scoring with four players in double figures, along with eight and nine point scorers. Congrats, Ladies. Yup, good team effort. Fairfield Lady Stags are really good, but I haven't seen anyone in the MAAC we can't compete with. |

If Aly Carman develops as a 6'5 center it will go a long way in making the Lady Gaels a top half of the MAAC team.

Knock off BE Providence Lady Friars, 61-49, on the road. They trailed by two at the half, but went on a 17-2 3rd Qtr run to take a lead that they never relinquished. Iona was led in scoring by Noa Givon with 20 points (Career High?) and Natalia Otkhmezuri with 19. Ella Fajardo had eight points and eight assists. Congrats Ladies.
P.S. My post was based on the box provided by ESPN. This morning the official box has Natalia with 21 and Ella with six.

Women were blown out by SH, and I'm hoping that Tony B. has a powerhouse, or else we should expect the Iona Women to struggle and hope for improvement as the season goes on. Greg, were you at the game? If so, let us know. Thanks. Um lol, so much for this reaction |

The Iona Women turned the tables on Hofstra with a 59-54 road win, their third straight, bringing their record to 4-3. Sierra DeAngelo led the way with 19 points, seven boards and six assists. Oborilova had 14 and Otkhmezuri 11. The refs made it interesting with many questionable calls. Congrats, Iona. They play their second home game, Sunday at noon.

Watching woman's game now, flo sports is in the corner of screen. So why couldn't other flo games be on?
Hofstra women are on msg but Iona men are never on TV because of ESPN+🤦
