Greg is that you in the front row behind the team bench? Yes. Ending was awful. Up 50-46 and Rider goes on 13-0 run to put it away.

We shot awful percentages, 32, 17, 67. Just hope NJ treats the Men's team better, tonight.

Women bounced back and earned their first MAAC win at home over Marist, 70-60. Natalia Otkhmezuri led the way with a HAC (M/W) season's high 38 points. They were fantastic from the foul line with only about one missed free throw. Congrats, Ladies.
P.S. Only downside was a terrible tv production. Hope it's okay tomorrow, in case ESPN shows the Jimmy V Banner ceremony.

Two interesting takeaways from today’s game: One is that, perhaps not surprisingly, the two best players on this team are holdovers from last year’s championship team. Gomez & Otkhmezuri. The second is that after Marist started to make a push in the last few minutes Coach Ang rapidly used all 3 remaining timeouts and made adjustments. I take this as a response to the late collapses that have plagued them. Seemed to work and the team showed great poise. Great job of coaching IMO.

greg, while she didn't do much today, I also like Petra Oborilova. She's a VG 3pt shooter, with good size, 6'2. A soph who is developing from her first year.

Two former Iona coaches go at it when Seton Hall visits Xavier this afternoon at 4 on FS1. Chambers definitely in rebuild mode as Xavier is presently 1-12.

While it might not be the first sell out, today's 11AM game against SPU is the first one that I can remember. And since it's Kids Day, the fans will be loud. Looking forward to watching it. Good luck Lady Gaels.

Good luck Lady Gaels. Iona did a great job with this game. Maybe the Men's games should be day during the school week too!

Lady Gaels (48/55/83) shot very well and came away with a 68-62 victory. Oborilova led with 16 points and Otkhmezuri, 13, and Gomez, 12, also scored in double figures. The POG might have been freshman PG, Maya Zaccagnini with 14 points and six assists. Great to see a Women's game with the seats filled. Congrats, Ladies.

Didn't realize until I saw the boxscore, but SPU outscored Iona in three of the four quarters. Iona's 22-8 second quarter was the difference.
