Same old story. Iona leads for most of the first 3 quarters and then gets blasted in the 4th.

Yup, troubling. They'll be playing early Tuesday in AC.

What drives me crazy is that it seems they run 20 seconds off the clock before starting to run their offense. And that leads to forced shots in order to beat the 30 second clock. There is pretty good talent on the team, imo.

Stags are far and away the best team in the league.

Does anyone know if the three stars from last year's team, Juwana, Ketsia and Kate, are involved with BB? Just curious, and while the opportunities are more limited then what the Men have, I know that there are pro league's for Women.

Women's team gets beaten up by Fairfield, 85-49, at home.
They were never in this one...end of Q1 it was 23-2 Fairfield

I've been watching the Iona women for a while and had to find somewhere to let off steam! The team is hard to watch. They slow things down on every possession, and always have to go through their Center. Predictable and easy to defend. Ball gets stuck, no movement off the ball and often ends up with a 1:1 and tough shot late in the clock. I guess they're close to bottom nationally for fast break points and shots taken.
Good time to change things up and start thinking about next year? Maybe even find something new that will work for them in AC. The focus of play (DeAngelo) is gone next year and I think they recruited some PGs with potential to play fast. Can they find a way to play to the strengths of who their core players could be next year?

I liked Evans getting good minutes at point yesterday - they pushed the ball a lot more. that's about the only positive from another loss .... way too many second chance shots for Siena.

Fairfield now 20-1 after another blowout win. Ranked 28th in the nation and closing in on top 25.

Whatever happened to Maya Zaccagnini? Is she hurt, or off the team? Only a frosh and she showed some PG skills.

Gaels end a 6 game losing streak with a nice win up in Poughkeepsie, 62-53. Let’s hope they can continue to turn it around!
