Just an example. If the season ended today using the UBS proposal.
Niagara, Marist and Fairfield would host PIG games. Likely all sell outs.
Siena, Iona, Manhattan and QPAC would host quarterfinal games. With the exception of QPAC, again sell outs or large crowds.
Semifinals and finals at UBS.

No way Niagara, Marist or Quinnipiac would sell out. Not even close.

When is the championship? I saw someone said if Albany gets it, it does not mean they go back to the old monday slot. Maac probably lost the Monday slot forever, Ensor's going away present to Maac fans.

Campus sites with UBS is a no-brainer… exactly why the MAAC will chose otherwise. Since they are down to these 3 options, curious to know who were the others and why they were eliminated. As we know there will be MAAC presidents who will vote against it unless UBS gives similar guaranteed money that AC or Albany would. That’s how they fund their hoops programs.

MAAC is holding a presser with the media on a zoom call tomorrow. Maybe some more questions will be answered.
Hopefully Jaden Daly will attend so we get quotes from Pitino and Ensor. Guy mentioned no podcast this week due to work and Sam Federman said he can't attend

…Maac probably lost the Monday slot forever, Ensor's going away present to Maac fans. The MAAC likely has as much a chance of getting that slot back as the Lenape getting Manhattan Island back for $24 worth of trinkets.

This made me laugh but is probably true. This allows the league to strongly look at attendance figures for home conf tournament games without going all in. It should definitely weed out some upsets I think in the first couple rounds as well, with better chances that the host gets the best teams. The empty arenas need to be mitigated somehow and this would be a good start. Also it's 15 mins from me. UBS is a really nice venue. Been there once for an Islander game. No complaints.

Issue with UBS is lodging for traveling fans. Where would they stay?
Other than that, I am all in on UBS!

Hope they go with UBS. Gives Iona the edge in QF’s to come. Making the regular season in this league actually mean something.

Seems like a stretch to me when compared to AC and Albany where you have tons of hotels within walking distance to the arena.
