Start Quigley, Arenguren, Panzo, Saunders, Adewale. Get Adewale involved early otherwise he's an absolute non-factor. I'm done watching Gordon and Tretout dribble around.. maybe drive or back down and get caught in no man's land.. pick up dribble and then turn it over. If we're building towards the future, they don't seem like they should be apart of it IMO. Gordon is part of the future, maybe don't start him at PF so he can post up guys his own size Hoping we're built differently next year so he can play the 3 more.

I'm gunna stop commenting for a bit before I say something really critical. But this team simply does not improve from game to game. The press ends up hurting more than helping. Constant wide open 3s over and over and over every single game. Those of you say that it wears the team down by the end are missing the point that it gives up wayyy to many easy baskets along the way to put Iona in the holes they have to dig themselves out of. I get it's a big part of Tobins philosophy but your kids aren't learning to play defense without fouling as a result. Defense wasn't the problem tonight. I agree defense was good. On multiple occasions we thwarted them until 4 seconds were left on the shot clock. We did a good job keeping their high scorers below their average. Hope and am confident Oz’s return helps improve the O.

Idan Tretout played 30 minutes, last night, and had a terrible offensive game. BUT, there must have been a reason why he played 30 minutes. I wasn't at the game, and I couldn't tell from watching it on TV, but we HELD the nation's leading scorer, Tyler Thomas to a season's low eight points on 3-12 (2-7) shooting. And I'm wondering if Idan was the primary defender. Because, somebody had a great defensive game. Does anyone know?

And speaking of Red Shirts, unless there's an injury I don't know about, is that the plan for Alex Bates, and possibly Rodrigo Farias? And while they are no longer Gaels, Cruz Davis and Ibine Ayo, did not see the court in SJU's blowout win over Sacred Heart. SJU played 11 of their 13 scholarship players, with the two former Gaels, MIA.
And more on red shirts. But these are the ones worn by Fairfield and NJIT. A big upset win for the Stags, on the road, over a VG Yale team. And for a one win NJIT team, down 10 points at the half to Fordham, they came back to win in what was probably a 'Buy' game. Ouch!

FURP is working hard to get both players to transfer out. No doubt they will…

One good thing about the Gaels is that they compete and never give up. The lack of wins are disappointing but as a team there is no quit. Lost this one by two possessions which wasn’t over until the last minute pf the game. Same can be said about Marist, C of C, Long Beach State games. 4 of our 6 losses within 2 possessions. While many criticisms noted in this thread are true and some arguably true, this team continues to fight the good fight.
