In the for whatever it's worth category.... Greg Gordan's Twitter account seems to have deleted most all Iona related prior tweets, retweets and photos. Pinned a tweet from a year ago as he was coming out of JUCO. Good luck to the next program that takes a chance on him. The New Rochelle pain must have been real. As for me, I root for loyalty to the Iona Gaels. Osborn Shema will never be forgotten. Hope OS remains connected to Iona in a formal or informal way.

If he left for coaching reasons, he is selfish and good riddance.

Looks like Flash Gordon might end up at Cincinnati
Cincinnati has reached out to a trio of transfers in Stanford guard Kanaan Carlyle, Toledo guard Ra'Heim Moss and Iona guard Greg Gordon.
Hopefully they have a phycologist on staff!!

However it is spelled, I don't think we should apply it to Greg. I wished he had stayed but can't fault him just because he left.

I wouldn’t make fun of Gordon’s mental state. He is a good kid and a great talent, just seems misguided like many other kids. Seems like he has the wrong people in his ear and he places his own interests above those of the team. Hope he lands on his feet and finds a good situation for himself.

At what age do you grow up and take responsibility for your own actions? He is not a kid and why are you blaming other people who had his ear. There were 6 game left in the season and he bailed on the team. Good luck to any team that would want to take a chance on him.

I’m replying to the original post. Winborne also “bailed” on his team in the middle of the year. Some guys don’t work out and then thrive at other spots.

Just like Tobin did with Winborne “why did you leave your former team in the middle of the year?” and hopefully did his due diligence, I’m sure other coaches will do with Greg
