Agree, Os just isnt the best option, even at 7 feet he doesn't rebound and often struggles stopping the other team's big. Also, yes, offensively, if you're going to run 5 out you might as well have Panzo at the 5! What should not get lost in the shuffle is that we saw a much greater level of cohesion on offense today, and real leadership from Joel Brown. Yes brown has tripled his scoring and has hit 3s while playing more minutes

Want to avoid the 8-9 game, both Canisius and Mount are worlds better than Manhattan and Siena. It took me like 12 tweets to say what you just explained in ONE...SMH No excuse to not win next 2. Let's see where the chips fall.

Nice time for a pre Maac tournament reset to the season. This game convinced me Toby should build the team around JQ in the coming 3 years.

Killed my planning since we can still get a buy Well looks like Iona had Tie breaker over Rider and not Niagara.. so doubt Niagara is losing to Siena even on the road, so 5 seed doesn't seem like it's gunna happen.

I love being proved wrong. Glad to see FT woes plague someone else for once.

1983, have to disagree. IMO, he made some coaching moves that almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Tretout got injured and was subbed out. While I'd have to check the Play by Play, it seemed that he was out for a couple of minutes and then returned and, I believe, played the rest of the game, with little to no contribution. And in the final 5+ minutes of the game, Marist missed four crucial free throws, two by Allen and two by Daughtry. Both times Marist came away with offensive rebounds. And a contributing factor was that our 'inside' guys on the foul line were JA and WP, with Shema and Adewale on the bench. But even though we tried to give Marist the game, they wouldn't take it. And, I'm wondering what did Marist do to take Panzo out of the game. He was on fire but made his final three at the 13:26 and I don't think he got a shot the rest of the game. I'm more than happy with the effort and the win, but Marist helped us, by shooting 9-19 from the foul line. Who knows this could be the start of a streak. P.S. 1983, I was disagreeing with your comment about TA's adjustments. Adawale fouled out; he was not available to rebound those foul shots. If Os was more than 60% he would be a lock to be in the game in those situations. Unfortunately he is not. I may have had him in anyway, but Os is having a lot of trouble underneath and is getting pushed around very easily. At this point he is more effective on perimeter defense. Tobin put Tretout back in because a) he could still and b) we needed the offensive threat. 1983, I'll give you Shema, but the miised fouls came at the 5+ and 3+ mark and Sultan didn't foul out until there was 2+ left. So I'll ask who do you want in to rebound possible missed fouls, a 6'3 JA or a 6'9 Dylan Saunders? As for Tretout, imo, the mistake wasn't putting him in for offense, but rather keeping him in when he failed to deliver. From a nit picking POV, it was going with the shorter guys on FT defense.

If you have Saunders in instead of Aranguren, you won't have to worry about a defensive rebound because they wouldn't miss their shot. The obsession some of you have with Saunders is comical.

Why is it comical to want someone over 6'5 on the court, many times we stop a team and they get an offensive rebound at the end of games, that leads to the poor body language in Friday presser

Yeah but if Niagara goes 1-1 and Iona goes 2-0 they're tied. Niagara beat Quinnipiac 1x and FF 2x so they win the tie breaker.
