1s, 2s, 3s JQ Aranguren Menard Wallace 4s and 5s Brice Sully Hogarth 6 ships open Its like a countdown 6, 5, 4, 3, can we lose signed incoming freshmen? By the time the dust settles, Brice might be in our starting lineup (that's if he doesn't bolt for the door).

Tobin getting close to facing an environment similar to the one he faced this year with only 1 returning player. As of this afternoon, he has only 4 returning players.

Quigley already following George Mason assistant and George Mason recruiting account on Twitter FYI. This is the end of mid major basketball. NCAA completely ruined the landscape of the game.

Not shocked by any of this today, unfortunately. Underclassmen leave programs if they don't get playing time immediately and then at the mid-major level, if they get a lot of playing time and play well, they leave for a high major. Expect a new roster every year with 1 or 2 guys returning. It's unfortunate, but it's now the norm.

Tobin getting close to facing an environment similar to the one he faced this year with only 1 returning player. As of this afternoon, he has only 4 returning players. Moving forward, it appears that the landscape will continue in this direction. The Power Conferences have achieved their desired outcome, establishing a revolving door for players. Expect to witness a surge in highly-rated high school and prep players becoming available, particularly those who haven't signed Letters of Intent. Coaching staff will actively scout these fields to address roster gaps. They will then train them to transfer in a year or two to the Big Leagues. Additionally, I anticipate a greater availability of high-level Junior College players compared to recent years. I can't wait until the first 5 year study comes out showing that the graduation rate has dropped 40%. If a kid is playing for 3 or 4 schools how are they earning enough credits at any of the institutions to be granted a degree? The next logical step buy the "Have Nots' should involve legal actions aimed at removing any restrictions on schools and coaches training players during the summer months. In certain legal contexts, these individuals are now considered "school employees." This change would enable coaches to effectively prepare their teams, fostering cohesion amidst the constant roster turnover many schools experience. It's essential to provide smaller programs with the opportunity to adequately prepare their teams, ensuring that out-of-conference schedules aren't treated as beta tests.

Some players will return to their schools as they might not get the NIL deals the think they are worth. Also, the players jumping ship for NIL deserve what they get as they all talk about being professionals, they will learn the risks they run when the same attitude is pushed upon them by staffs.

Coaching will have to change, can't run complicated systems in this era. Screw it, go to a 2-3 zone and set a few plays on O and playground it otherwise. No time any more for players to grow into a system, by the time they figure it out they're portaling.

This is incredibly frustrating that we will now have to rebuild an entire roster AGAIN. I honestly feel very discouraged about all of this. How can we be successful if we have to replace a majority of the roster every season?

How can we be successful if we have to replace a majority of the roster every season? Our only hope David is that we can bring in better players (Transfers, JC & HS) than what we’ve lost. This of course is a big if…. Remember too that our competition seems to be losing their top players also.

I think foreign players might be the way to go. Less likely to be 1 and dones. The Quigley move surprises me. Thought he was loyal to Tobin, but think its just business. Nothing personal. Hope Aranguren stays.

Recruit almost exclusively in Europe and Africa as the NIL issue complicates their student visa status.

Does anyone make an announcement they are staying? How often do we have to check this and twitter to make sure Quigley, Adewale and Aranguren are Staying. Not sure you can recruit Frosh if they too aren't. At times it feels like the NCAA wants the small mid major teams to raise the white flag and migrate to Division 2. This whole new landscape for college basketball absolutely sucks. Many low and mid major fans will be lost.
