Getting back to the Winborne absence and injury, I may have missed it but what is the injury and how long is he expected to be sidelined. Did I also read someplace that TA says he might be their best player?
Hes out 6 weeks. Believe its ankle.

Guy, have to disagree about the negative comments. Only know for sure what I think, but I'm guessing that if you asked everyone to give Iona a grade for Monday's game, the lowest grade would be a B+. I give them an A because I only give out A+ for games we won. The high grades, imo, would have been a result of: * Level of competition. * Missing two key players. * Brand new roster playing first game together.
And, I look at negative comments, more as what we hope the team will do if faced with having a big second half lead in future games.
Not really a negative, but I wished Tobin would have spent the last timeout after Rupert gave Iona the lead with 16 seconds remaining, instead of holding until the end. Lee was killing the Gaels, maybe call time and try and set up the defense geared towards Lee. Totally agree on this-set the D & discuss options on O based on Princeton scoring or not.
One big positive to me was the way the entire team carried themselves on the court. Watching on TV, didn't notice much celebrating after made baskets or even too much crying to refs, unlike last season. This team appears to be very tough and business like.

Maybe I'm more sensitive to it than most, or maybe I'm just more objective than most. But here's the way it works around here (and to be fair, most boards):
Team wins: 1 page, with posts like "good win"
Team loses: 10 pages, with posts that go on for paragraphs about how the coach molests collies and the players are all murderers and rapists
(*gets on soapbox*) We live in such a negative world. For something that we follow for entertainment and joy, I don't get the obsession with mostly focusing on the negative. That's why I added "Awesome" to my Good Bad Ugly post. I'm just tired of the constant negativity.

Oh sure, only comment on the NEGATIVE part of his post.

Please review my earlier overwhelmingly positive observations and not focus on my possibly negative one. "Overall, pleasantly surprised with how cohesive the team looked, particularly in first half. I was surprised that Bundy had 11 minutes (got his money's worth with 4 fouls). I also thought Jungers looked very comfortable out there. Should be a fun season."
And, I did offer an unsolicited apology for using the board like the chat room during the game and pledged not to do that again now that you cleaned it up.

Guy, this is the case everywhere and on all types of medias… it’s human nature. Folks respond to follow-up surveys more when they’ve had a bad experience than good. The same holds true in sports… it’s what fans do!

The winkie thing indicates my comment was a joke--no need to explain. But thanks for the reminder to check the chat room as I had not done that yet!

Re the chat room--I cleared it, but since I don't pay for it I don't believe I can moderate it. So, boobie pics for all!
Seriously, if it becomes a truly troublesome issue, like when we're in there 5 bots come in taunting us with boobie pics, then I'll look into pricing so I can lock it down and it's register only moving forward.

One great moment from the game that I haven't seen discussed yet was towards the end of the first half. Biggie dove for a loose ball, forced a turnover and got fired up. I thought it was a good sign and an example of this team's toughness. I also didn't have a problem with Njie's decisions down the stretch. He had a really good look from three that his defender went under the screen on, and it just didn't go down. He should always take that shot though.
