Iona playing with a lot of energy, but have to close out on the 3 points shooters.
Cornell not only has shooters, but they have a well coached, well executed, offense that creates open shots.
Reminds me a bit of Cluess’ teams and makes me jealous.

I struggle to understand what the point of our offense is. We throw the ball around hoping a defender will be out of position, and then shift to a dribble drive hoping something will happen. Sometimes it does but more often it results in a bad shot or a turnover. |

This is game 6 and we keep expecting cuts, screens, overloads on shooting threats and nothing happens. It does kind of feel like Monday night at the rec center where guys are kind of freelancing. |

Our shooting percentage is slightly better and the effort level is very high. Aside from a few individual one on one scoring plays and Barr’s dunk off a baseline cut offense is unwatchable. Essentially if we are not scoring off of forcing turnovers we are a stagnant team. And Cornell is scoring off our many defensive lapses in the half court. Cornell is a very well coached team. |
