Akron doesn't make sense to me - We match up RPI wise with Northern Iowa.
Strike this, Akron has leap frogged NI

Andy Katz today:
The BracketBusters pairings will be unveiled at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU Monday night. I have no idea what they will be but I’m on the show to discuss the Feb. 17-19 event. I’ve bounced around plenty of pairings and here are my top four: Saint Mary's at Creighton; Long Beach State at Murray State; Wichita State at George Mason; Drexel at Iona; Akron at Loyola (Md.); Nevada at Oral Roberts; Valparaiso at VCU.

Akron at Iona Friday 7 PM game on ESPN2; per a little birdie. Probably some truth to this, as our first-time visiter who posted it is online in Ohio.

Well, we'll find out. I'm just saying the visitor who posted the Akron rumor actually posted from Ohio--could have been an Akron insider sharing a morsel.
Either way, that would be disappointing--and another reason for my grade. Iona should be top 40 as I expected, and we're top 60. Big difference. Still hoping for LBSU or Wichita. We won't get St Mary's--they're the best road team by a healthy margin now, after Wichita lost at Drake the other night. In fact, that loss probably increased the chances of us drawing them.

This same poster linked to our VCU poster's predictions on the Akron board and then came here trying to post this matchup as if some little birdie shared something with him.
It may very well be Iona-Akron, but not because a little birdie told anyone anything. It's just idle speculation based on nothing more than googling bracketbuster predictions.

Fair enough.
For what it's worth, my own birdies are telling me no opponent has been named yet.

I will double check, but I believe most of the games that are on ESPN3 are also on ESPN gameplan, so if you purchase the Gameplan package you should get MAAC tourney games. Upside is that we will finally get our championship in HD this year. I hope your right but I looked at ESPN full court schedule (what you are calling Game plan) and it is not on their schedule, maybe they'll add it later but it appears to me they are limiting the Maac tourney to ESPN3 exclusively.

You are correct (Yes I meant Full Court) - nothing on the schedule yet. They usually update the schedule late for tournaments - last year I don't think they had the full court schedule until about 2 weeks before the tournament. No guaruntees, but I'm pretty sure they will be on full court.

Maybe trying to push ESPN3, but in the past they have put games on both. I'll see what I can find out.
