Manhattan closes out game 27-7 and hits a 3 after a timeout with 1.3 seconds. Thanks. We certainly lack that killer instinct it seems. Thats on the staff, they gotta find the right mix. They have over a month to do so. Yeah, this was a crazy game. I think we're the only team in the country that has a home court disadvantage. Its like a black hole or something. How could we have like 8 guys in foul trouble at home? I said early on I thought this would be tough. Like Hofstra, Manhattan has been hearing about how great we are and we got their best shot tonight. Incredible intensity in the second half, and Massiello has this team incredibly conditioned. Like us they also play a lot of guys. We have to play smarter. Some really dumb fouls that hurt us. We have smart guys. We need to manage games better.

Watched the highlight on news 12 and I am wrong, he didn't dribble and I used my stop watch and he released right at 1.3 so it probably was good. However the shot looks even tougher on film then live, I can't believe he made that!

Watched the last play on ICgaels.com and they show the entire inbounds and yes it took over 6 seconds for him to inbounds the ball. Iona should have got the ball back on a 5 second violation. Still they can't blow that game! The Hynes center jinx rears its ugly head!

The bottom line is that this team can't win a championship unless it can play defense. What lost this game is that Manhattan relentlessly drove to the paint in the second half and Iona had no answer, and the Jaspers scored 53 points. This defense--right now--won't hold together for 3 wins in 3 days. It HAS to get better.

Still a good team, but like many said said, we will have to win 3 at Sprinfield. Then we get a 13 or 14 seed. Too many press clippings for players and fans!

Brutus got away with abut 10 fouls.... How many warnings was he given... about 6. Brutus assaulted Machado like a TSA screener going after a 90 year old lady in diapers.
With that said...Cluess did a shit job tonight. Maybe Diggs should bench him next game.

A horrible night for the coach, Neulion but especially the players. One Free Throw other than Glover? Going into the season I thought depth was to be our strength. Can anyone tell me why Diggs, James, Jenkins, Fields totaled 10 minutes with 2 DNPs? And with tehnology being what it is, how is the audio feed consistently terrible. When Gary and Vin got excited, the raise in their voices seemed to cut off the broadcast. Commercials are nice and loud though.

I say we try to get those HD cameras that they have installed for refs as the Internet feed for home viewers. I wouldnt mind one wide angle view of the entire floor and the camera never move. It would most certainly be better than what we have now. And we really only need that one camera view to see whats happening on our offensive end of the floor b/c we dont play any defense anyway.

Manhattan deserves a ton of credit credit for playing through what could have been an absolute disaster and for finding a way to win.
I won't blame refs or one play or another for that matter because that is just how the game goes. Iona historically always seems to be on the losing end of the buzzer beater.
As for the reffing, when you are the #1 team in conference you ought to get some calls especially when you're the home team. Regardless, of that though someone on the team needed to step up and make a play during that horrific run. It sounds like we got jobbed on the last inbounds. Well, thaat's twice this year. The lesson is to not let yourself get into that position in the first place. Like the Siena game the Gaels should have kept their foot on the Jaspers throat when they had them down.
Just my $0.02.
It still comes down to three days in March just like it always does. That is life in a one bid league.

We can win 25 games and it wouldn't matter. Have to win conf tourny . Make things right Cluess, still plenty of time

Game reminded me of the senior night game Burrt Jr's senior year. Barry came in and shut us down.
Speaking of Barry he was all hugs with Massiello. Masiello turns out to be a great character. I think he's going to be a good one. He runs D like Willard and has a personality.
No reason Beamon should have gone for 20 plus. Someone needs to at least think about how to defend.

I was impressed with the Manhattan big who for his size really could elevate. He blocked Mike several times and had a good game.
I thought the game was called fairly. We had way too many dumb fouls.
