Champions League, most prestigious league and title in International Soccer, is coming down the stretch as is the English Premier League. Currently Man U, Man City, Arsenal, and Tottenham are the top four in the EPL standings. Chelsea and Newcastle are lurking just outside. Chelsea is in the semis of the Champ league playing Barca. If Chelsea were to win the Champs League, I believe they would knock Tottenham out of a spot for next year, even if Spurs would otherwise qualify by ending in the top four of the EPL.
This summer's big events are Euro 2012 in June/July with Spain looking to defend its title, won on Fernando Torres's winning goal (wow that seems long ago); the Olympics also, where the U.S. Women qualified, but the U.S. men failed.
I'm not into
La Liga (Spain) (Barca, Real Madrid, et al) Serie A (Italy) (Inter Milan, A.C. Milan, Juventus, Siena et al) Bundesliga (Germany) (Bayern Munich et al - although I have a scarf I bought in Munich) Dutch League (Ajax et al) Frech League (Paris St. Germaine, Marseille, et al) Scottish Premier League (Celtic, Rangers et al)
But these are fantastic leagues. Others who know them should comment.

Pretty much agree CT - Though I am a fan of Ajax, but the dutch league has sorta fallen out of the elite (Love Amsterdam Arena). Barcelona is still the class of the Champions league, but you never know, Chelsea at least put themselves in position to pull off an upset. I was very disappointed when my Everton boys lost to Liverpool in the FA cup. We're always close, but never quite have the firepower to hang with the big boys, oh well, maybe next year. Still like Bayern, but don't follow the Bundesliga like I used to.
Go Crew!

And by the way, Messi is on fire, look for him to explode in the return match.

Well he was born in England and grew up in England, so he's not a complete traitor ;D As Jackie Charlton used to say "If he was born in a stable would that make him a horse?" Many people claimed that if Maradona, Zico or Socrates wanted to play for Ireland, Charlton would have found an Irish grandmother in their background to qualify them. ;D

Bayern-Munich reaches Champions League final to play Chelsea. Unfortunately for Chelsea, this year the final is in Munich. Going to be a rough go of it for the Blues.

Well, I am definitely surprised by the final. All signs were pointing to Real - Barcelona final. Congrats to Chelsea and Munich!

The enigmatic Fernando Torres with a hat-trick today for Chelsea as they route QPR. Is El Nino back?

Arsenal gives up a late goal to Norwich for a 3-3 tie. Terrible result for the Gunners. Had about five chances after that and couldn't convert. van Persie fouled in the box preventing an easy tap in. No call.

A stupefied Chelsea holds on to win the FA Cup over Liverpool, 2-1. Controversial call on a header from Andy Carroll of LP that was saved by Petr Cech. Looked on replay that it was no goal.
