Patsos rant is right out of Coach Speak 101. I would be disappointed if he hadn't said that. TC will probably say that he's concerned about the long layoff, while Siena was able to get in a nice tuneup game. Not sure but I believe tonight's game Siena-Fairfield is on ESPN3 for those not going to the Iona Women's game.

Anyone know if our game is on TV on Sunday? $7.95 for the video feed thru the Siena site. Not sure if it's on that front row site for free.

Here we go conference schedule starts tomorrow. Iona needs to start New Year off with a nice road win. Expecting we take another step forward in the team maturation. This is Coach Cluess time. He knows this is where it needs to get done. OOC was where he tinkered and experimented. Beat Siena. GO GAELS!

Time to start showing they're the class of the MAAC, nothing less than a win is acceptable here.

[/quote] IChoops.....What ever the hell you found in that Florida Drugstore, please send me up a bottle...It has certainly revitalized you....I don't know half the time what you are talking about, but I enjoy trying to figure out your double innuendoes... Siena game...Imperative that we get off fast and let them know who is boss...The longer you let them hang around the more their confidence and chances increase, especially up there... With that fast start could be another Delaware State score, as they will pack it in when they realize its hopeless.....They have won their last two and with that have entered the delusional world once again... Miss those pre-game talks

I watched most of the Siena - Fairfield game. Siena looked best when pressing. Their point guard is their best player and they got a pretty good game from their center. Poole made an effort to take his man off the dribble and had some success with that. Fairfield, to me at least, just looks poorly coached. I can't understand why Johnson still has his job there.
If we put the pedal down we won't have any trouble with Siena, even on the road. I hope we avoid having AJ assigned to guard their PG. Ibn and Amayo would do well with that assignment. Put Isiah on Poole and he will disappear from the stat line.

If you can get Long and JO in foul trouble early Siena will be dead in the water as they are already down two bigs. Long is underrated and does a lot of good things off the ball to free up his teammates.

I wonder if their fans will remember that game over the next 2 decades as miraculous. People here blab about MSG and blah blah blah....

I'm certainly not drinking the cool aid that Cluess is on par with Valvano, we will ever get new facilities and hoop fans will actually remember Iona during any extended period out of the NCAA's. SHU beat #6 Villanova. When's the last time we beat a top 10 or top 20 team for that matter.
