Love much and he can score and play defense, now we know what happens when you play defense, injuries will pay off in the long run if EVERYONE learns from this,
It's always great defense when, for the season, the other team shoots 44% fg; 33% from 3; 60% fts; (Five of top 6 players shoot under 65% from the line) Last night they were even worse: 36% fg%; 33% 3 point %; 63% fts; they were 22-35 from the line, so even our ft defense was great!
Much has the biggest brass balls??? Some long term memory issues here???

So u don't think our defense has been better the last 2 games?
There are when 3 of your top 6 players are out with injuries and a 4th fouls out with 7 min to play and you still find the balls to stage a rally on the road against the best defensive team we'll see the rest of the way by a large margin.

Looks like Super tried to quote me. Small sample for sure, but name me a Gael in the Cluess era whose giblets never shriveled up in a big spot.

Nope--we just played 2 of the worst shooting teams we will face all year. We got crushed off the boards last night, although, as stated earlier, out ft defense was great last night.

Wondering if you've ever been introduced to a player named AJ English, who in the course of the past few seasons, has hit more big shots than Armand, Machado, Glover and Momo combined.

Where was he vs Manhattan? Oh that's right, "sick".

Believe he hit the game winning 3-pt shot against Manhattan at Draddy on ESPN2 with opposing teams' fans screaming obscenities in his face.

If you're changing your argument from your original point -- which was to name a player whose balls didn't shrink in a big spot -- and now you're asking whose balls didn't shrink in a big spot AND in a BIG game (i.e. MAAC final, postseason, etc.) you'd be hard pressed to find anyone at Iona in a very very long time who fits this description.
Yeah, Glover's giblets really shriveled, especially at Syracuse.
Was that a "big spot" last night?
Where was Glover vs Fairfield in MAAC tourney or second half vs BYU?
I did not see the game last night, as my family insisted that I feed them. Now if it was the MAAC tourney or a NCAA game, they would have to wait, or even better for my family; they would have shared my Iona enthusiasm on TV of the big game.
I caved to my family in the first half last night because it appeared to me that the Iona giblets (including Much) had not yet thawed out. Hey, I think it's great that Much had a breakout game in the second half, and it probably bodes well for this team going forward - in the MAAC tourney and even a NCAA game. AS for giblets or gonads, how about Ibn's three against Texas Southern, or his two FT's last night - not to mention AJ against St. Peter's (both games) in MAAC play last year? AJ's giblets did back-fire in one of those games last year.
I agree with Guy's sense of optimism going forward because it sounds like the team's giblets thawed during half-time. My concern continues to be that even though we now have size, we continue to play small on the interior defensive end - minus 16 in rebounds. Until we correct that, our guards are going to have to sag on D. And '59 is consistent in his wish for PG play. Don't sleep on Ibn!
