Team is finishes. No O, no D, no rebounding, no intangibles, no IQ, and the best coach went to Bryant. It was fun while it lasted. A bit of an overreaction perhaps? I was thinking about that watching the Super Bowl. Parcells never won without Belichek. It's only one year but Cluess without Grasso is not looking very good.

Believe the Maxwell beef was over a Siena player bumping him. Coach Eaton was just trying to talk some sense in to him so he wouldn’t go after the player I think. Separately, I know things are bad but so people actually believe Iona will LOSE 20 games this season!? I don’t see it happening. Believe Iona has only lost 20 games 3 times in its entire history and in two of those seasons the coach lost his job within one year. I said that in December when I first witnessed this mess of a team. They will lose 20, you can bank on it. To think otherwise we are kidding ourselves.

I don't agree that EJ is a complementary type player, particularly in today's version of the MAAC. He is just as talented and dangerous as any other scoring threat in the league IMO. McGill and Crawford have a chance to both be first team all maac. So to say in this league that they are complimentary players is wrong. In this bad league Iona has as much talent as anyone except Rider. I don’t think they will win the tourney this year but they do have a chance, and probably the third or fourth best chance. In Maac years past this team would have virtually no shot, but you have to look at the competition. Get this team healthy and with Cluess’s history, the Gaels will be dangerous come tourney time. McGill has had an awful year. He wont even make 3rd team MAAC. He doesn't deserve it.

Has had some bad games, but even those were generally due to trying to do too much as he wasn't getting much help outside of Crawford. Silly statement.

McGill and Crawford are 1st team All-MAAC in Daily Dose of Hoops mid-season selections.

1970, as for attendance it certainly looked like there were a lot more at the Rider game. Heard a lot of fans asking (yesterday) where are the students. My guess would be about a 500 difference. And while there some Siena fans there, nothing like the old days. JMO. The school has to do a better job of getting students to the game, enough students live on campus that there should be more of a student presence at every game where school is in session, even when the team is not that good. Just saw Iona is promoting a student event (GAEL GATE) at the gym right before Friday’s game and another future game. Also giving out t-shirts to the first 100-200 students at some if not all of the remaining games. Both are good ideas, glad to see Iona knows there is a problem and is addressing it by giving students reasons to attend the game. Much bigger home court advantage when students are there and involved in the game.

Siena has definitely been the surprise of the season. Expecting them to cool off soon, but gotta give them credit for taking a team of freshmen, nobodies and a new coach, and getting them near the top of the standings.

Always good to be the tallest midget. What does that make us? Mid sized midget?

Shows how fleeting mid-major success can be. We're a couple more bad years from becoming Marist. Yes, we've been spoiled Guy. The frustrating thing for most of us diehard fans is just how quickly this has fallen apart. From the penthouse to the outhouse in short order. I hate to be a pessimist but I think it will take a "number" of years to turn this around, as opposed to some who feel this is a one year blip in the radar.
