While this is great in theory, we are basically asking complimentary type players (McGill, Agee, EJ, and Gist) to take over games. I don't believe that's possible on a consistent basis. The composition of this team is different then in years past.
I don't agree that EJ is a complementary type player, particularly in today's version of the MAAC. He is just as talented and dangerous as any other scoring threat in the league IMO.
EJ is a very limited athletically but despite his limitations,(inconsistent shooter, using right hand to finish, leaping ability, overall athleticism he's a quality MAAC player) He's a role player that is definitely not able to take over a basketball game at a division 1 level
Java-I know you are a “diehard” fan,do you still think it’s all fallen apart?? Outhouse?? We aren’t dead yet.
I never think it's over with TC at the helm but I do realize it would be very difficult to win 3 or 4 in a row with a 6 man rotation. That's why it's imperative we get Risto and Still back and they both contribute with productive minutes. This has been a frustrating season in so many ways but I feel the team can get on a roll and make some magic happen.

I’ll take 4 more of ej like “role” players next year, if so we go 25-5.

Since you have Jimmy V as your avatar, I assume you remember a guy named Dave Brown. What the hell, I will even throw Big Jeff in there.

Java-Read your post Feb 2nd!
I read my post. I will continue to root for the Gaels but even after 24 games this season (9-15 record), I feel we are still collecting data about what this team can accomplish. At times we have 6, 7 or 9 suited and ready to go. Flu, concussion, walking boots, etc has created continuity issues this season.
As I mentioned earlier, it has been frustrating at times. Lack of consistency has been an issue. Hopeful things come together down the stretch.

No doubt it’s been frustrating, but there are some signs we might be putting it together,5 more games to keep improving and getting healthier,I like our chances in Albany as much as anyone else, and I like TC on our side as well.

Can't argue this point. Two wins against Niagara and Siena is not a trend. Go beat SPU tonight and win in QU on Tuesday and then I think we all can say we've turned a corner.
