Frustrating to say the least but when fundamental tasks like boxing out and rebounding are deficient, it's inevitable that we would lose so many of these winnable type games. Agreed. Zero argument from me. They deserve the record they have. Because I hate myself, I watched the replay of the last couple of minutes. Obviously the lack of defensive rebounding killed Iona, as well as Crawford missing a shot right at the rim. Iona had 2 fouls to give when QPAC put the ball in play with 6.5 seconds remaining. Terrible job by the staff/players not fouling Rigoni as soon as he started driving to the hoop. Would have had another foul to give, which would have left QPAC just a couple of seconds to get a shot attempt, and no chance of a offensive rebound to win the game. Can't lose the game like that with fouls to give. Still trying to figure out the last foul. The ESPN play-by-play said the last foul was on Perez, but now I see it was called on Agee. Perez did foul Rigoni on his shot attempt, but got away with it, only for QPAC to get another offensive rebound and win the game.Just a lost season. You forgot Gist's 12ft point blank shot. Also, down the stretch, I thought it was ill advised that Agee chucked up a 3 after TC called a timeout with 11 secs left on the shot clock. Thought it made sense to call up a play for EJ with a drive to the hoop.

Have to agree to disagree on Ristanovic. His shooting has been horrible since returning from his injury, but he did have 8 rebounds and played solid defense in the last Iona win against Rider. Also had another 8 rebound game recently. Risto is only a freshman, with a high upside. His career is only 20 games old. MAAC teams don't turn their back on 6'10'' kids like Ristanovic.

The thing about that possession that stood out was that the player spacing for Iona was off. I believe there were 3 players bunched up pretty close to each other.

Best thing tonight was the New Ro cops vs New Ro firemen at halftime. Neither team deserved to win. Another trainwreck. I don't agree. I thought the Firemen deserved to win.

Two things:
1. Was it a brain cramp on TC's part, or not having competent assistants to advise him on using his three fouls with Quinny inbounding the ball, score tied and about six seconds remaining? We did foul once and I was sure two more would follow. Someone has to ask TC about this, as it's covered in "Coaching 101". Is this the Grasso effect?
2. Nobody does it better than Tajuan Agee in picking up a player on a switch, and then dropping back leaving his man wide open for a three point attempt. If it wasn't so frustrating it would be funny. Real funny.

Coach Cluess instructed the team to foul after the first dribble on the final inbound play. He was irate at Perez and Gist for not listening. The lack of awareness on the last play cost us the game. There were many other examples of mental midgetness by the players last night, this was just the most glaring one since it cost us the game. This team has a very poor basketball IQ.

81, you don't have to listen (or read) anything. But nice try, in throwing the players under the bus. Of course you're entitled to your opinion, but I am curious how you learned that they were supposed to foul? Did TC say that in a post game presser, or was it just some inside info that you got?

B3 careful-59 will accuse you of throwing people under the bus.
