Well if 05 is correct then I owe TC an apology. I came by my opinion, because the team had no trouble fouling at about the six minute mark. I then expected two more (fouls) of the same. I don't know why they got the first play right and not the second. And 81, I do appreciate any and all inside info you provide. Just don't know why you get upset because I ask questions. If most/many posters want me to stop posting, just let me know.
No, please don’t stop posting. You are a huge value add to the board. I think we just need to work on your questions-to-comments ratio to get those numbers up a bit more. ;-)
Not only do I think that Risto would NOT start for 4 years, I would include him as I suggest we "sweep the deck" and hit the reset button with ONLY Agee, EJ, Gist, and Perez returning next year.
Ristonavic has a lot of potential. He’ll get out of this shooting slump and improve overall. Not a lot of mobile 6’10 wings in the MAAC.
Risto and I have scored the same amount of points in the last 2 games. Reminds me a lot of Ryden Hines. Everyone says they like his game, but we get nothing to show for it.

You don't owe anybody an apology. The same question you posted was asked last night by plenty of fans sitting behind the Iona bench last night. I have yet to see one post by any board member that showed a lack of respect to coach Cluess. As far as 81 is concerned, ignore him. This is what message boards are all about. Fans giving their opinions on the play of the players and coaching of the staff. Both players and coaches have had a bad year, going back to the off season. It happens. I for one want you to continue to post, as I enjoy your posts much more than from a person who has zero credibility when it comes to their opinion of the staff.

Can't compare Risto to Hines. Iona has won 7 games this season and Ristanovic has played a key role in 4 of those wins. Obviously his shooting has been terrible since returning from his injury, but no way you give up on a kid like him. He is only 20 games into his college career after for not playing for over a year.
I’m still a bit in shock from the way we lost last night, but maybe I shouldn’t be. We’ve been snake bit (or maybe we’ve bit ourselves) this season.
I, like most of this board, will not give up on the team until we are eliminated in Albany (or Dayton, or in the field of 64) and, thereafter, will still be a fan and a proud Iona alum.

Greg, your later posts in this thread have been golden.

Go Gaels!!!
Agree with all in your post Z. What is really hard to understand is how our 3PT shooting has dropped off so significantly in this latest run. Guys who can shoot it are not hitting the mark and if they can revert to earlier form, we would become a MAAC force going into March...

We just do not have the consistent 3 point shooters that we had. EJ was good in past years but was one-dimensional. I like his game better as one who drives the basket. He's a good athlete who is now more than a 3 point threat. I think others have lost confidence. Risto was making moon-shots early in the season, but last night he didn't even hit iron on one. I like him and think he'll get better, but he's struggling with his 3 point shot now. We just don't have the guys who we could rely on for the 3 ball. The post in this thread that showed how our guys have done over the last few games was sobering. I think the number was 7%. Gist can hit them, but he was 2-7 last night (the 2 he made were big). Every time Agee shoots a 3 I'm yelling, "no, no, no" it's rare that I follow it up with a, "Yes!". I realize he can make them and realize that there are times he is forced to shoot them, but I like his game more when he's going inside.
I think that we are putting too much pressure on ourselves (especially Ricky) and just not playing up to potential. I'm sure that Ricky would like to be the MAAC player who wins the tourney 4 years in a row. If we are disappointed in this season, think how this has to be disappointing to Ricky and the rest of the team/coaches.
It's a long-shot, but I'm not going to be surprised if we cut down the nets in Albany. We need confidence, we need to stop making dumb mistakes, we need some of our 3s to fall, we need to play up to our potential, we need to rebound, we need to play some defense, and we need a bit of luck. Iona is the defending MAAC champ - play like it.

Not sure how much pressure players are putting on themselves. In the shoot-around yesterday team spent much of the time trying spectacular dunks, mostly unsuccessfully. They should have focused on outside shooting and their mindset.
