I don’t see Farias, roster says he’s #77. #25 is the walk on from Virginia, Chappell, they show him making a shot. 25 in the clip is Farias not the walk on Heyyyyy I was right all along LOL

With this roster, what is your biggest concern? In two weeks we should be able to make a more informed opinion, but as of today this is mine. Last season Shema played PF, but this year it looks like he'll play center. So my concern is how we'll do when Oz is on the bench, fouls or rest. Looking at the roster, I'm guessing we'd go with a frosh, Sultan Adewale. And playing a frosh is often perilous. Any other opinions? Krystkowiak wasn't going to be a major impact player, but what he would have brought is experience. Our frontcourt lacks beef overall and definitely lacks experience after Shema. Guys like Gordon and Brice will play bigger than their heights, however. Teams that have an effective big with a little beef on him will be a problem for us. Thankfully, not a ton of those in the MAAC, and I haven't dug into OOC enough to know how many we'll see there.

Guy, agree 100%. I did think that Cam K. would have been a capable backup for Oz.

Do Brice and Farias alter beliefs on Iona's presumed starters/major contributors? I acknowledge that's a big guess based on a practice video and that Iona's bench will probably run deep.

My uneducated guess is that both will be part of the rotation. MTG in two weeks.

I hear Tobin is pretty good with game planning against bigs.. I think only against guys over seven feet. And, unfortunately we don't have many of those in the MAAC.

Today, on the ESPN site they pick POY for all conferences. For the MAAC they go with James from Rider, with Honorable Mention for a guy from MSM, I forget his name. In selecting James they mention that the path to POY was made easier by the exodus of players from Iona. Seems like a fair assessment.

Stole this Guy off of Twitter. Didn't realize Joel Brown was so quick and athletic. Brown has a great A/TO ratio playing in a HM conference for a bad Cal team. He could have a huge season surrounded by offensive weapons in Tobin’s system x.com/pstockprospects/status/1698428886005231951?s=20

Didn't get the name, but was told that one Iona BB player dropped three turkeys as they came down the line. And another refused to pass the turkey after picking it off the line. But my source wouldn't ID the players.
But, that aside it was nice to see the Iona community join forces with the New Ro community in a great cause.
