We are middle of the pack in the MAAC. Maybe you thought this team would dominate year 1? I certainly did not. What coach currently in the MAAC has coached in and won a bigger game than our coach? A loss today was to the hot 1st place team, boo friggin hoo. Onto the next one
Fair. You’re entitled to your opinion. It could’ve been **we didn’t blow a 12 point lead with 5 left against a hot 1st place team to bring our winning streak to 3,** but a loss is fine also. Let’s not take 3-15 Siena lightly
We put 87 today. Most in the MAAC other than the team we lost to. Offense is starting to click, defense will get where it needs to be with Tobin in charge. We just ran into the wrong team today, chalk it up to bad timing. I’m looking forward to beating their ass next time and in the tournament

If you two guys don’t stop, you’re both off the board! History… 🤣
You are right. Great job today Tobin Anderson. We are not allowed to criticize you. Tau, can tell me what to expect and that’s what I’ll expect? Is hoping for a bye too much Tau? 8-12? 6-14? Let me know. Thanks for beating Purdue.

Sorry, he can be a good coach and have a bad day, on the free throw we should have missed on purpose and get the rebound we had 2 6'4 guys on the lane, not a good decision. Doesn't make me think he is a bad coach just a bad decision

Never said he couldn’t have a bad day, or a bad 3 mins.

While 87 is a lot of points, consider this. When Idan hit a three for his 30th point and our 84th point there were about five and a half minutes remaining. I was expecting the 100 mark and for Idan to approach 40 points. Unfortunately injuries happen. I'll repeat myself and say that IF the team is healthy, I think we're the team to beat in the MAAC.
An open ended question I would have liked to have seen asked (and maybe it was), "From a coaching perspective, was there something that you would have liked to have done differently?" And if he wanted clarification I'd throw in subs, defense/zone and time outs.

Those were asked, specifically re the zone and the guys on the floor. He answered them.

Pretty sure Guy asked if he considered switching defense and subs (Shema in for size).
Speaking of Shema, odd he only played 15 minutes. Had 12pts on 4-5 from 3 and 3 rebounds. He had a couple uncharacteristic turnovers, but thought the way QPAC was having so many uncontested layups, Shema's length could have been disruptive. That he wasn't on the lane when Panzo intentionally missed the FT was odd

The defense in the last several minutes was terrible! Layups open three pointers and did I mention open layups! Of course the only games that really matter are those in the conference tourney and anything can happen there. Losing games like yesterday are deflating for the team and for a team to string together three conference wins in a row to close out the year, they have to believe they can win. There's still a lot of basketball to be played before Atlantic City, we will see what this team is made up of in the next few weeks! Go Gaels!

Sultan's size might of disrupted some of Quinny's lay up after lay up. I felt he really needed to be out while Quinny was repeatedly driving in the lane uncontested. He still had two fouls remaining and should of been utilized.

Well we can all second guess Coach but I'm certain he knows his team better than we do. And he has to make decisions based on his gut and instincts as to who should be in the game and when and I believe he said that's what he did.
I'm going on interrupted sleep as my 93 year old Mother In Law with dementia called us at 2 am to ask why she couldn't contact anyone and my wife told her because its 2am. Which seemed to satisfy her but I was awake now for like 2 hours in the middle of the night, so take this with a grain of salt. It's just a question/speculation.
All coaches want their team to give 100% effort 100% of the time. It's human nature (along with other factors, injuries, personal problems, fatigue from just playing a day and a half ago, maybe lack of strength, etc.) that some guys get run down mentally and physically and can't do it from time to time. It makes sense to me that it might happen late in a game on a Sunday afternoon that a team that just played on Friday night and was playing with a lot of energy for 35 minutes couldn't respond defensively to a team making a late desperate run in front of their fans with some experienced and very talented guards and wings. Maybe pressing non-stop for 40 minutes isn't sustainable some games. Some nights the energy will be there; but over the course of 30 some odd games mental, physical breakdowns are bound to happen. I think coach was assessing who looked like they had the mental and physical energy to be out there late and continue with the defensive pressure. Maybe that wasn't Sultan, or OS, etc. Maybe coach's style isn't going to work at this level. Maybe it will, but not with these guys. I don't know the answer. I guess we will find out. But the one thing I'm certain of is the guy isn't over his head and he knows what he's doing and how to coach a basketball team.

Great post.
And sorry about the MIL, that sucks.
