Well one part of me was being sarcastic. The other part was referring to the two technical foul shots that they called on Baggett. You choose. Baggett was begging for that T. I feel the reason being twofold: 1. To light a fire under his teams ass. 2. To alert the refs to start calling the game tighter. I feel he succeeded in both.

That near collapse was incredibly confusing. Very bizarre stretch of play loads of fouls, completely cold, and hoarding timeouts like they carry over. Very lucky that game did not slip away.

Not normally a lot of words but after reading some comments here are positive points 1 A win 4 out of last five league games going from 2-3 to 6-4 2 four players in double figures 3. 18 points from the bench 4 three frosh totaled 32 points 5. 25 points off of turnovers. You live and die with pressure We live and continue to MARCH 6. From my seat lots of screens picks and curls where we attacked the basket. My seats Section 3 row D great angle to see 7. Only 4 turnovers!!! 8. We can win close games. Yes we made it close but we won! 9. Energy and effort there 10. GG brings the above and team feeds off it! Coach plays ten players one point above for each player Will never criticize. Been there On to Buffalo Coach Al

Rider didn't have a FG from about the 13 minute mark to the 4+ mark. Painful to watch. You can stay in games by shooting fouls at over 90%.
All I can say is that the students are missing some exciting BB. Don't understand their absence. Alex Bates scoring on identical OOB plays were a thing of beauty. Also, hit a nice three.
Don't look now but Iona might have both the POY and ROY. Both have made huge strides. Thank you TA.
My boy, SIGael got robbed in the Red Light, Green Light race. Should have checked the monitors. Race was for Seniors. Can't wait for the Super Senior race.
Word will eventually come out that Idan has/had a high ankle sprain. And no I'm not a doctor, never played one, but God knows I'm treated by enough of them. Buffalo trip will be three weeks. In the NFL a high ankle sprain keeps you out 3-4 weeks.
EOG mistakes aside there has been a big improvement in this Iona team.

Shouldn't have lost the game to quinnipiac either.

A good feel win right after that amazing Gordon follow up dunk turns into a bad feeling win with Shema limping. Still a win but that was ridiculous, we just kept fouling and they kept hitting free throws and then we stopped making buckets. Can’t believe that ended up just a one point win. Let’s move on I Guess. Our team does foul a lot. However, the number of touch fouls called was ridiculous.

Limping to the finish line and probably wound up winning because Rider didn’t have an extra 20 seconds to go to insert the dagger. Elephant in the room is that when we are in tight games, we’ll have to make sure Quigley and Jean are handling the ball. Every other player seems like a crapshoot from the line.

Two incredible stats from the game. Iona had a 25 to 3 assist to turnover ratio and Rider was 27-29 from the foul line. Strange game!

Where are the students? When Iona was a commuter school their poor participation at games was understood. No excuse for today. Who is working to improve the turnout; what are they doing to get more students in seats!

Huge improvement in this team over the last 6 or so games. I think Tobin is committed to letting them play through their mistakes. That said, I think Tobin made a mistake not calling a time out during that ridiculous 2nd half stretch where Rider scored 16 or so points from the free throw line. Live and learn. Things seem to be going in the right direction. And at the end of a tight game, please have the ball in the hands of Quigley and Jean.

Joel runs up court and their guy starts to dribble uncontested. They blow the whistle. Why? Did Joel bump him? Yes. Did it create an advantage or affect anything? Absolutely not. Senseless foul.

This is certainly part of the issue, but you'd think you could get at least a few hundred. I'm telling you start giving out free beer and they will come!

They barely came when Pitino was here. If you remember they left at halftime during the Manhattan game. Iona has school spirit in different areas. Not so much when it comes to sports

Basketball is a primary program at IU and should be seeing greater student attendance. Greater overall attendance was clearly in evidence with our former phony, excuse me I mean coach, including students. If we need more beer and a party atmosphere to get them (students) in Hynes, then so be it. Enough with the excuses, how about some action to get us a few loud fans in the student section.. .

Hard to argue with this. I was at Iona from 04-08 and maybe the Sunday games werent packed but those Friday games were always packed with students. This was also before streaming so if you didn't go you weren't watching.
