My "issue" with that presser, not the 1st time this year Tobin has mentioned have to make foul shots. I mean Brown and Gordon are career 50% from the line. Both do most of their scoring driving to the hoop, and getting fouled. Pretty much lost possessions, since it's rare they knock down both. Not sure fair to expect better from them Even JQ and Aranguren were bricking them last night, though.

FTs are like putting in golf, it's basically a different game within a game. Anyone can get better at shooting FTs as it takes no athletic ability to do so. It's a symptom of not putting in the work to be a better FT shooter.

No excuse for either as a D1 player.

Several points as I read through that need to be said again. NO guys from losing programs. Cultures from old schools that are losers follow you to a new destination. Recruit leaders. No one aside from Oz and Joel Brown has shown an ounce of leadership ability in my eyes watching every game. Oz who is playing injured does not pout when he is on the bench he coaches, cheers on his guys, and is fully engaged and I cannot say that about the rest. Navigating recruiting in this NIL world is tough. Do not take on the player only interested in making a buck see what happens. I want gritty, hungry, and athletic players who care about the team over themselves. They exist out there. Thats our culture and thats what it should be if we hope to return to the years of Cluess level dominance.
Second to that I am obviously not aware of what goes on at practice but Dylan Saunders not playing is comical. Ridiculous that he is not given a shot. Brice plays hard, hustles, and cares needs more PT in what is a lost season, in other words prime him for next season and develop. I am pleased with Sultan playing more, develop him and he will be a respectable MAAC starter.
Third I sincerely believe we need an Associate Head Coach to be hired and have someone has a track record of MAAC or similar conference experience to help guide Tobin and a young staff.

So then tell us again how Pitino was successful? What does this have to do with Pitino? Really?

The MAAC. I would think a QU-Niagara final would have zero juice. At least when Iona/Manhattan and Iona/Siena were relevant there was some buzz and interest in the press. They would get press in those areas, 2 well known coaches, you live in a vacuum

How in the world does Saunders hit the freshman wall when his ass is glued to the bench? Is he suffering from “riding the pine” fatigue? I’ve been saying it all season. Even though he’s deficient on defense, his presence on the offensive end would help stretch the defense as teams would have to respect his outside shot, thus quite possibly opening up drives to the basket for our guards (easier baskets). Agree 100%. Or he is trying to get guys to leave, who thought having 1 returning player would be a yearly occurrence

Nobody mentioned how great the officiating was. Quinnipiac never complained about getting out shot in a home job, 18-9 from the line. We have 0 post up game but were at the line double the time

Joel Brown is from the ultimate losing program 2. Tobin does not need that kind of help. Rough year, but this guy has a track record, plenty of experience and knows the league. Hell, he coached in it a while back. Have a little faith dude.

His comments are accurate. I think Tobin said we WILL have guys here that dive for loose balls. We dont dive for loose balls. I interpreted that to mean, there will be many new faces next year. Maybe i am wrong.

We have 0 post up game but were at the line double the time 1970, thanks for bringing up the officiating. As well as my friends who were sitting near me at the game, I thought the officiating was much better than usual, but were surprised by one thing. In the early part of the game, it seemed that a whistle blew on almost every play, and most calls were aginst Quinny. And, with our shortened bench, I figured the calls would even out and we might be in foul trouble. But ABOUT ten minutes (or so it seemed) the whistles stopped, for the most part. Is it possible that the lead official, Brian O'Connell, reminded the other two refs that Friday night was not a night for tickey tack fouls? P.S. Maybe Quinny never complained, because they had us where they wanted us. On the foul line.

Vin Parisi mentioned on the broadcast that this same crew was headed down to officiate the Virginia-Duke game. So they were not your typical MAAC referees.

Maybe i am wrong. Well next year only Brice and the 5 freshmen return. Didn't see an issue with those 6 as far as playing hard. He obviously meant the seniors, who pretty much all turned out to be underwhelming.
