Honestly I don’t even know what a mid major coach should do, frosh, grad transfers, jucos, they all have negatives and positives. This is why I thought you just build a team around a combination of all of them, but not sure that will work either. These are never before seen times for college basketball. I hope for the best but I am very worried for our future. Exactly. An entirely new dimension coaches now have to navigate. Something none of them have experience with or could've prepared for. Unchartered waters for them all.

Play all your freshman and Brown. Lost year. Culture lacking. Agree with Sharkey we can’t take kids from losing programs anymore. Joel Brown is the only upperclassman I respect on this team outside of Oz for willingly returning for this shit show

DJ? Love that guy. He’s welcome anytime. I believe I saw Cruz Davis there at the Fairfield game too. Eff them both. And the horse they rode in on! That's silly, they arrived in a car.

So, a crazy thought.
Forget Marist, I can't see us beating them right now even though they're due for a letdown performance.
Manhattan and Siena are both quite bad. We are as well, but let's say we squeak outta Draddy with a W. Two days later, handle Siena. Then, 7-10 game against one of them again. Suddenly, you've won 3 straight going into the quarters, feeling good about yourselves. Certainly no one in the MAAC is that good, and whoever the 2 is won't be a monstrous favorite over us.
This is the MAAC.

No question about that. We have a long way to go to back to Cluess levels. Scary thought. Siena is 4-24. Sadly, Iona might be their only hope for 1 more win. You can make the argument that they will return more talent than Iona next season in Emejuru, Ojo, Durugordon, Eley and I think Durugordon and Eley are greatly overrated Durugordon and Eley are gone after this season ends.

I don't know. If Carm gets fired, and he should be, they might stick around. They aren't HM players, so not sure they get better NIL deals anywhere else

Separate note. The MAAC really needs Iona and Siena to be good to keep some semblance of respectability. We are heading toward a Quinny, Niagara, Marist and SPU semifinal. Nightmare. Nightmare for who?

I get that, but the returning players next year are not as talented as the Cluess teams. No question about that. We have a long way to go to back to Cluess levels. So then tell us again how Pitino was successful?

Agreed. I see some posts about Tretout and Tobin arguing on the bench. If true, sit his ass Sunday. Tobin was going at him hard and it seemed Tretout was just sick of it and talked back a little. I’m not the biggest Tretout backer but I kind of didn’t blame him for defending himself, though I don’t know what they were saying. I think at this point neither are fans of each other, and you can’t have this with a coach and starter if you want to win.[/quote TA needed a scapegoat since he couldn't argue or bench Gordon yesterday

No reason Saunders didn't play yesterday. You can't play with a 6 foot 5 3 pt shooter as your center and win. I know he is weak on D, but we literally had no one going after rebounds. Also maybe he could get hot. The only way we win is we get 2 players hot in a game and pray

I mean, I agree, play everyone at this point, but obviously the kid has hit the freshman wall in Tobin's eyes.
